SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — More than half of all people sent to federal prison for committing felony crimes so far this year were Hispanic, a major demographic shift swollen by immigration offenses, according to a new government report released Tuesday.
Hispanics already outnumber all other ethnic groups sentenced to serve time in prison for federal felonies.
Hispanics reached a new milestone for the first time this year, making up the majority all federal felony offenders sentenced in the first nine months of fiscal year 2011, according to the U.S. Sentencing Commission.

Please explain how putting so many illegal aliens in jail for felony crimes is all about the money. All about what money?

Is it all about the taxpayers money spent on defending these felons because they do not have money to defend themselves?

Is it all about the taxpayers money spent on food and medical bills while they are in prison?

Is it all about the taxpayers money giving thier families food stamps, housing and and education while their 'breadwinner' is in jail? How many of the illegal immigrants are property owners paying taxes toward education, or paying taxes in any way other than sales tax on items purchased.

What about the illegal aliens and their families who draw Social Security and Medicare created from taxpayers money after being here many years, not paying into the system and then, after being given amnesty for their status, apply for the benifits.

There is a reason it is called illegal immigration. Maybe it is because of the tax burden put onto our financial infrasturcture if they are not legally here. It is not like our federal and state governments have an excess of taxpayers money to go around.


So I guess it is all about the money after all. After a while, it becomes more practical to spend the money trying to keep them out than to support them after they get here.

The Hispanic community probably has many other "fastest growing" outcomes, too.

Hispanics are probably the the enthnic group in America opening the highest percentage of new resturants, too, for example.
