The State Department misplaced and lost some $6 billion due to the improper filing of contracts during the past six years, mainly during the tenure of former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, according to a newly released Inspector General report.
The $6 billion in unaccounted funds poses a “significant financial risk and demonstrates a lack of internal control over the Department’s contract actions,” according to the report.

The State Dept did not have an Inspector General for 6 years until this new IG came on board early 2014 and he did a full audit.....saying proper paperwork was not done on 6 billion worth of contracts under that period!!!

It included a good deal of Iraq war contracts and Afghanistan contracts.

The State Dept had no independent Inspector General for these 6 years that were finally audited by the new IG that totaled the $6billion:

2008 under Condoleeza Rice
2009-2012 under Hillary Clinton
2013 under John Kerry

We don't know from the article what specific years the bad paperwork took place or if one year was any worse than another from the reporting
