Hey you master race of armed citizens, what's your everyday carry?

This thread welcomes all armed citizens who carry a weapon every day, or even occasionally. That would include those with concealed carry permits, those who legally open carry while observing the laws of their state, law-enforcement personnel, and military personnel.

By "master race", I'm referring to those law-abiding individuals who have been vetted, trained, had their criminal backgrounds checked, are eligible for the right to legally carry a weapon, and are trusted citizens in the eyes of their local, state, and federal governments. It has nothing to do with "racism", so don't even start none. Gun-hating hoplophobic trolls not welcomed.

The thread also does not apply to street thugs, drug dealers, drug users, robbers, muggers, ineligible persons, felons, or anyone who is otherwise restricted from possessing or owning a firearm.

Pictures are good if you have them, and I'll start with my everyday carry loadout:

Glock G19 on the right side, in a Milt Sparks IWB leather holster. Two spare mags, OC spray, and a Colt Cobra .38 Spl. secondary weapon on the left side. 7" Gerber spring-assisted pocketknife, and if I have to go out after dark, 600-lumen pocket flashlight.

The nice thing about my setup is that the holsters hug the hip, leaving no "printing" when a hoodie or jacket is worn. It's easy to forget that you're wearing them, even during the Summer when I switch over to a shirt...

9 mil for MrGracie. 38 special snubnose for me and 357 magnum for me. Plus various knives I will probably never use but will come in handy cutting rope and whatnot.

I carry occasionally, do not consider myself in even a joking sense a member of any “master race of armed citizens,” and generally find it a pain to carry. Like Batcat when I carry it’s a pocket holstered 38 5-shot revolver with an enclosed hammer. Strictly a defensive weapon that never jams and never leaves a shell casing.

I think all the gun enthusiasts here would do better to find a different & healthier hobby. One requiring a bit of exercise perhaps. Or something to improve their minds, rather than their shooting ability. IMO, this would be more useful, more valuable, more satisfying than spending time and money at the range or shooting beer cans.

Finally, I know and like the feeling that I can protect myself and even others from criminals in extremis, but I never have and expect I never will have to use my weapon in this way. Fortunately, I am retired in Florida and now live in an environment where I have no need to carry every day. It is a blessing finally not to have to worry about violence, and not have to deal with the macho fantasies of young men ... outside of the internet.

Walking down to the 100 yard target stand and back several times while having a range day is good exercise. Bench rest shooting is also a good exercise in concentration, self-control, and mental acuity. It's not like we folks in the gun culture spend the day randomly spewing bullets at tin cans and rocks. Shooting is much like golf, except far more precise.

Handloading also takes quite a lot of of attention to detail, research, and concentration. Especially when several tenths of a grain of powder makes the difference between a finely-tuned pistol and a hand grenade.

But should the need arise, wouldn't you feel better if you had access to those things?

Yeah, think I might buy a tank, just in case I have a car accident.
I think when I go swimming I'll hire a submarine instead, just in case I get bitten by a shark or might drown.
You prog slaves, always go to the extreme dont you? Just like a radical Muslim

I bet pink is our color.

Yes, it probably is 'our' - ie, your colour. Bet you like high heels, too.
You hide behind your peashooter and you call me a slave...LOL>..
Anyone who votes for Socialism votes for their freedoms to be taken away, thus making them slaves.

Don't want guns, don't need guns.

Until the day you do

I am 50+ years old. I have known literally thousands of people in my life. Hundreds of them reasonably closely. Of all those people, both alive and dead, I only know of one person who has had a run in with somebody with a firearm (not including my LEO colleagues when I was in the job, and even then I only know of one person). That was in France in the late 1980s. He was hitchhiking around France with somebody he had met on his travels. A French farmer killed his friend for 'trespassing'. Turned out the farmer was drunk as a skunk. But back home? Not one single person I know of over that 50 years has had any interactions with a firearm. Not one. So, no, the chances of me needing one is minuscule. So I don't go around being scared all the time.

And don’t forget your crash helmets and lightning arrestors.

It’s a dangerous world out there.

I have a CCW, but usually don't bother to carry. I have a S&W model 469 9mm. A couple of weeks ago I went shopping for a new holster and a couple of replacement mags. The kids clerking in two different gun shops went "you have a S&W WHAT?" It turns out that parts and accessories for 35 year old handguns are kind of thin on the ground. I finally found a universal holster that would work and had to mail order the mags.

It has nothing to do with walking around being scared all of the time. It has to do with the reality that there are shitty people in the world and one day they might fuck with you

I might have a car accident. I don't drive around in a tank.

Why do you walk around in a face mask?

Springfield xd40 and a back up mag.
I merely need to make it to the trunk of my car.
Then it’s party time.

You are an easy target! I wish I lived near you so I could take away all your weapons before you know you are being disarmed.

Dont confuse your ability to steal candy from a baby with stealing a firearm from a grown ass man.
One's easy, the other could cost you your life.

Funny you would use one of your abilities, stealing candy from a baby, to try to degrade my position. I like the thrill of the challenge and have as yet to fail.

You sound like a pretty stupid person to me. Either stupid or suicidal, I don't know.

What would that be called? "Suicide by citizen"? :laughing0301:
