Historically "States Rights" have been a code word for denying rights to women, PoC, and Natives.
This decision will be no different.
If a state outlaws travel for the purposes of Abortion, who do you think will be prosecuted? Rich White women or poor AA women?
Sates Rights was the excuse for Jim Crow, blocking voting for Black people, all white juries, work farms, imprisoning the poor for not paying bills.

Ok. Define arms. At the time the Constitution was written. It was muzzle loading black powder flint lock.

So why can’t we pass a law that says you are free to keep and bear arms as the Founders intended?

The founders embraced a lot of restrictions. Even our ancestors did. In Texas when the State was formed. You had to have a permit from a Judge to buy a pistol. To buy a pistol. This was during the frontier days when threats were far greater than today.

Even at the time of the Constitution firearms that shall not be infringed. Guns were in fact restricted. White men. Property owners. And they didn’t carry a gun around every day.

And even then. Guns were restricted further. No Indians could own guns. No matter that they were born here. Didn’t matter.

Even now. You support restrictions. Just not on yourself.

If you are white, straight and armed, you have little to worry about.

The States got more power, the federal government lost power. I can see where this ruling will apply to all sorts of shit weaking our corrupt federal governments hold on illegally seized power.

We already did. It's called the CONSTITUTION. The question you want to really ask is why and how has the Federal government eaten away at the meaning over the years to erect so many laws which obstruct the real meaning of the 2nd Amendment? And, isn't that why the Founders PUT the 2A into the Bill of Rights in the first place fort good reason?

The difference then was that the judge was actually happy to give you one! It was just a simple and quick record-keeping formality.

The Founders believed that Militia was the answer. They didn’t want a standing army. In fact. They specifically prohibited that. But after the War of 1812 when Militia fared poorly it was changed in favor of the Standing Army. The enemies were not your imaginary tyrannical Government. But the English. Perhaps the French. Or the Spanish.

The Founders were smart enough to realize their newly established nation would look weak. Especially to the old established nations. France was under Napoleon. Spain and France and England had been fighting wars on and off for possession of the colonial possessions in the Americas as well as the world.

The Founders intended to create the image that any invader would have to fight every man in the fledgling United States. An illusion. Especially at the time.

But all of this is academic. You support restrictions on the Second. Restrictions the Founders did not support. So again. You oppose restrictions on you. You do not oppose them for others.
