hey democrats ! are yall ready for 5 dollar a gallon gasoline ?

are democrats going to be happy paying 5 bucks a gallon at the pump ? i mean the guy they voted for said he's going to crack down on the fossil fuel industry ! https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...n-draws-gop-attacks-with-call-transition-oil/

Getting rid of Trump was worth any price.
Well if you don't have a job to drive to who cares what the price of gas is right lefty??
The left is for infrastructure upgrades and why we need a working majority in Congress.
Hmmm sounds like much higher taxes on the working class and more welfare jobs.
I agree to disagree. People making more can afford to pay more in taxes. We don't need low paying jobs, not even for entry level Labor.

Then what will the majority do for income? Many jobs are entry level, with the idea that you stay on and get promoted. Yes, you deserve a decent wage for working. But you also have to provide value for your pay.

Wrong again libber.....paying "more" when you pay zip now does nothing and the increased wage only makes the prices of the items higher. And gets more of them laid off.

Ok. Let's go over the expected results from increasing the minimum wage. Increasing the minimum wage on a national level ensures greater efficiency in the implementation of such a policy due to that uniform operation of the laws.

Depending on how much the minimum wage is raised, in this case fifteen dollars an hour, several times more tax revenue can be raised. How many employees are expected to be let go if the minimum wage doubles in this case? There is no rational requirement to reduce hours for remaining (full time) labor.

You are welcome to look into the difference in tax revenue generated from a person making the current minimum wage and that same person making a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage.

A person making a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage generates around nine times more in federal income tax revenue than someone earning the current federal minimum wage.

Any ratio less than nine to one is still a tax revenue gain for the federal government.

And, higher paid labor also generates more in demand in every long term equilibrium.

Equal protection of the laws for unemployment compensation in our at-will employment States can solve for the unemployed, who could then go to school or learn new skills on their own at their own pace for as long as they want. We don't need cheap wage jobs in our first world economy.

Depends on the minimum wage and the ratio of Labor being dis-employed. At a hypothetical eighteen dollar an hour minimum wage rate, the federal government would still generate more federal income tax revenue even with a reduction ratio of ten to one. Those fewer but more highly paid minimum wage workers would still generate More revenue than all of the lower minimum wage rate workers no longer employed.

Wrong, fucktard.

The employee making more (taxed at 12%) is more than offset by the employer making
less (taxed at 21%).

Net income tax revenue is lower.

Care to cite your reasoning? I have no confidence in your sincerity.

The federal income tax is more graduated than that.

Someone making the current minimum wage generates approximately $193.80.

Someone making a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage generates around nine times more federal income tax revenue: $1,618.00

Over nine times more and that ratio of nine dis-employed to one full time employed.

Care to cite your reasoning?

It's called math. 21% is more than 12%.

The federal income tax is more graduated than that.

You're talking about people making minimum wage.
They'd be taxed, at most, 12%.

With a $15 minimum, 52 weeks x 40 hours a week = $31,200.

A single earner, the first $9,875 taxed at 10% = $987.50.
The rest, $21,325, taxed at 12% = $2,559. Total = $3,546.50

The employer deducts $31,200 reducing taxes by $6,552 (21% rate).

We are quibbling what it means to small and local business in a local economy, as it relates to the general Government.

One full time fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage worker providing full time labor input to the economy generates nine times more in federal income tax than that same individual person does at the current minimum wage. A nine to one ratio. We don't need low skill minimum wage jobs that can be easily automated in modern times.

Only the right wing complains about raising the minimum wage so even the Poor can pay their share of taxes and at the same time, complain the Poor don't pay their share of taxes.

Not my math error. An employer can lay off eight people and still provide the general Government with more tax revenue from one full time person at the higher rate. Higher ratios make your position even less credible.

On a per year basis, individual and total population basis:

Do not forget all the other taxes and fees that are standard for each person that can be added even more. A 20 cent increase in gasoline taxes across the board. A one per cent additional state, local or city tax. One per cent added to a sales tax. Extra taxes added to communications, electricity, water, cable, heating, A/C, etc. Real estate increases including apartments. And so much more possible. Many of the finished products you purchase is taxed from the ground up at about 20% or have middle men getting a cut included before you pay more taxes on top of it to take home. Services you pay for have taxes added to it from beginning to end. There are endless taxes and taxes on top of taxes. The Federal Tax is just one we always talk about. The Social Security Tax including the Medicare Tax is about 15%. Half of the Social Security part you do not see as the employer pays that and that is part of your wages.

I been paying close to $6 for over a decade. How much is your health insurance ?
With equal protection of the laws for unemployment compensation, more healthcare insurers would have more incentive to create market share from the unemployed.

"equal protection of the laws for unemployment compensation"?

What the hell does that mean?
