Tyler Doohan, who died while trying to rescue his grandfather from a fire that broke out in a mobile home, was made an honorary firefighter during his emotional funeral, which featured a remembrance from his mother and his fourth-grade teacher.

Penfield Fire Chief Chris Ebmeyer presented a helmet with Tyler Doohan’s names inscribed, to ‘symbolize that Tyler is indeed a part of the brotherhood of firefighters, as an honorary firefighter in Penfield.’​

Have an uncle who was a volunteer firefighter in East Rochester and a cousin whose a professional firefighter in Rochester....we've had our share of tragedies there lately...remember the firefighters shot in Webster last year.
