Young man stops a beating at the McDonnalds he workes at, he protects the woman who was being beaten and is shot multiple times by the perp.

MickyD denys him medical benifits.

This young man deserves a medal, instead he gets $300,000 in medical bills.

AT $8 an hour how many years will it take him to pay that back, one wonders.

Of course we all klnow he should just stop whining and go out there and get those skills so he too can grab the golden ring, right?

I hope the kid has a full recovery..

Burger King should buck up and pay his bills, hire him and make up that 300 G's in no time with the good publicity they would recieve..

Throw the shooter in the clink for as long as the law will allow..

I agree , one of the other big guys should take him as a spokes person and pay his medical bills to boot.

He can stand there and say "other guy cares" Mickyes dont. That would go a long way in this social enviroment.

This is bullshit. He was protecting the customer and protecting his employer's interests. McDonald's deserved to get slammed on this.

The employee orientation advice about calling 911 is good advice but it doesn't cover this sort of situation.
