And do NOT buy your gasoline at Citgo stations! Many 7-11 stores around the country use Citgo - please do boycott this gas as it's wholly-owned by Hugo Chavez..

The company is owned by PDV America, Inc., an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

In August, 1983, CITGO was sold to The Southland Corporation to provide an assured supply of gasoline to Southland's 7-Eleven convenience store chain.

In September, 1986, Southland sold a 50 percent interest in CITGO to Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. PDVSA acquired the remaining half of CITGO in January, 1990. With a secure and ample supply of crude oil, CITGO quickly became a major force in the energy arena.

Not a boycott person, but this one I’ll go along with.
I think it will work too.

Ditto with the " not a boycott person" but I can easily avoid doing business at Citgo and plan to. A small step to stick it to Hugo. He's a dick.

Let's just give him massive manufacturing contracts. What's wrong with that? That will keep him happy so he won't be mean.

When the drunk Captain of the Exxon Valdez screwed up and Exxon raised the pump price to cover the costs of clean-up etc, I stopped buying from them, haven’t since. Screw me on gotta have it, but not on your mistakes.

I don’t buy at Citco so it’ll be very easy for me.

Do we actually care this much about the words of a nonsensical, attention-craving dictator?

This country needs to lighten up, I never realized I share this land with so many whiney prima donnas. Poor owners of citgo stations, a crazy bastard goes off the deep end and suddenly business sucks because some Americans can't take a little criticism. I bet you Bush even had a laugh at the insanity of Chavez's statements.

Well America is free, 1549. So if people want to boycott, then boycott they shall. I don't believe boycotts work personally. Chavez will never feel the financial impact. He's richer then rich can be.

I do find it funny though that I live in a country where so many whiney prima donas (proffesors, union workers, Liberal leaders, etc) are willing to invite a 3rd world dictator who basically enslaves his people to speak to America about our human rights violations.

I care. I find it appalling that a whacko would be allowed belittle another world leader on an official stage of World Politics. Free Speech? Yes, but completely innapropriate.

Fair enough.

At least he has good taste in reading. Chomsky's book is pretty solid. You are right though, the UN should condemn his comments. Insults are counterproductive.

So is the little bastards' support for terrorism but he loves to pay for people to be killed. Anyone who can find a redeeming quality in this POS has serious problems.

Contracts are nice, but we also need to understand him, show the world that we care, open our borders to everyone, and loathe ourselves. Then he won't be mean to us. Oh, I almost forgot, we also have give away our entire wealth and turn Socialist.

There are few Citgo's around here, but as far as boycotting one over another, won't matter. If we don't buy Citgo's, China will. It's all one vast pool, from which the buyers compete. Commodities. ;)

I think the Secret Service should sneak a bumper sticker on the back of his car while he's in Harlem that says "I Hate *******" - then let the gangbangers up there "take care of him"... oops! was that my "out loud voice"?

Let China have it. I'd love to see Citgo go under just for the symbolic effect.
