Socialism: the evil that threatens to destroy the republican and free market values that make America great.

If this is actually what you think about America, then I hope you will not go to receive a free vaccination for the swine flu (H1N1) in October. This socialist handout of vaccines for a virus that is spreading very quickly across America and the rest of the world is sickening.

Okay, so that was a little sarcastic, and I hope that everyone goes and gets the swine flu vaccine when it becomes available.

Socialism is a word that has been thrown around lately to describe the dangers of health care reform, but the argument is beyond flawed; it's completely broken. The free swine flu vaccines are a perfect example of how a public safety net (socialism) can benefit all American people and can even save the country money in the long run.

The author is an idiot.
For starters, there is no health care reform that Obama is pushing. There are several bills in Congress, all of them saying something different.
Vaccines are typically low margin money losers for drug companies. Which is why they never seem to have enough when flu season breaks out.
Too many issues with the article even to get started.

does anyone know if the vaccine manufacturer is exempt from lawsuits for the vaccine? did our gvt give them special protection...?

my sister has a girl student who went and got that gardisil vaccine to prevent cervical cancer, and it gave her a stroke...paralyzed on one side and walks with a limp now....she CAN NOT sue for any help with medical costs or damage done to her, the government wrote a law protecting the manufacturer....

is this really capitalism, when the gvt protects a private industry like this? NO

letting seniors go without while promoting healthy illegals is not my idea of a better America.

As I say, when someone actually proposes reform, I'll consider it. What Obama is proposing is just a hostile takeover of the insurance industry.

it ain't hostile kitten! the insurance compaies agree to it all but the public option....they stand to get a GIFT HORSE, and they know IT! EVEN with all of the changes, they will make a killing, off our backs....
