Where did I say the price jumped that much in a month? It took awhile for Biden's energy policies to achieve the left's goal of increasing the cost of fossil fuels but they slowly but surely jacked the price up until we were paying more than double what the cost was under Trump.

The average American isn't buying into the Biden narrative that it's someone else's fault. They know EXACTLY who caused the spike in prices and they know that Democrats want to keep prices high going forward! The left doesn't care if working class Americans are having to make choices between putting gas in a vehicle so they can get to work or food on the table for their families! Part of the rise in gas prices are caused by the war in Ukraine, Lesh but those prices were going up WAY before Russia decided it had Europe by the balls because they were so energy dependent on them! The truth is that the Biden Administration made a determined effort to raise the cost of fossil fuels in the US in order to make their Green New Deal seem more feasible. They succeeded in doing just that but then Russia invaded and the cost of oil and natural gas went up even more. Suddenly the American public was looking at $5 a gallon gas and they're PISSED!
At that point the Biden Administration had a choice. They could have pushed oil production here in the US. They could have called for the burning of coal to produce electricity like Germany has done. They have chosen to do neither. They've chosen to tell the American people to suck it up because THEY aren't going to budge from their agenda even though it's quite obvious we aren't ready to go "Green"! That's a decision that THEY own and that they'll have to answer to come November.

The truth is that those prices started going up in the futures market as soon as Joe Biden was elected. The fossil fuel industry already knew what was coming from the Biden Administration. Even if the Oil Companies open their taps they do not really have the facilities to refine oil at the rate they need to lower the price down to let say two dollars a gallon for a period of time.

When Biden and his progressives decided that they would squeeze the fossil fuels industries in the US to force the US to use Green Energy sources that decrease in production here raised the cost of oil and natural gas worldwide. Producing what? Not crude oil. The oil patch produces LNG in abundence but we use a lot more oil than LNG.

That being said, we still are producing an excess.
