have you ever paid in the duo.decimal system?

I have, when I was in England in 1967 and 1968/69
Haven't traveled in Europe in over 30 years. I definitely hated changing currency for whatever needs I thought I might have, while there, and invariably leaving with unspent mostly un-exchanged excess currency. This left me with an eclectic blend of leftover currency notes and coins many countries, still lingering in my possession today.

Over here, I can go for weeks, with nothing in my wallet but lots of ID along with a couple of credit cards and a debit card. If I was traveling in Europe today, could I get buy on nothing but plastic from the US, moving from country to country?

Lots of cash, and plan on having coins many do not want.

When I watch old TV shows made in England, it’s always baffling when they start talking about shillings and pence and crowns.

The base-10 money system is infinitely more logical.

Thank you, French Revolution
