Hate America?

I get so tired of the U.S being the whipping-boy for all of the world's ills and problems.

We send billions all around the world in foreign aid only to have the same countries we support turn around and trash us. Saudi Arabia is decreasing their oil output so our gas prices will go up even more; yet we send them foreign aid...why???

We send troops to free Iraq from a dictator and then have to put up with the fringe groups murdering our boys and hanging the bodies from a bridge and the local citizenship stands by and watches. The same is happening in Afganistan.

We send billions in aid in the form of food/medicines/money to Africa and the people let local warlords steal it while their families starve to death.

We send aid to North Korea, an avowed enemy, to feed their people and keep them warm while they see their own government. who could care less about its' citizens, spending billions on weapons programs to seemingly destroy us.

We waste $5,ooo,ooo,ooo a year on Israel so they can continue to foment hostilities in the MidEast.

How about for a change, just to see what happens, we pull every American back inside our borders, lock the immigration doors and allow nobody in period, cut off ALL foreign aid, and say screw you all.

Let the Haitians kill themselves off, let the Africans all die from whatever it is they are currently being ravaged by, let the Arabs eat their oil, let the Koreans starve/freeze to death, let all of the South Americans continue their coups without our assistance, and let them all see how long they last without their sugar daddy sending them their allowance!!!!!

Why should we continue to waste our tax dollars and servicemen's lives on people who don't care enough to fend for themselves? If their families starve because local warlords steal the food or they continue to be tortured by dictators and they do not have the balls to rise up and free themselves to see that their families survive, why should we care? Especially when they don't care enough to help us help them?

Selfish?! Sure, but life is hard and we cannot save the entire world, nor should we try, especially at the expense of our own citizens.

OK, now imagine the world without the steady influence of the USA. what you want aint never going to happen so why waste your breath wishing for it? the economy is Global, it isnt 1950 anymore either. protectionism/isolationism is at work in NK. If thats what you yearn for go over there and give it a try. I will hold the plane on the turmac for you. This damn yankee is with AtlantaWalter. It'd be cheaper if we cut all the bastards off, especially Israel. I'm still waiting for Ariel Sharon to send me a thank-you card for forking over part of my paycheck to support his Jew-only regime, which I by law can't be a part of. so you would have us continue to give money to countries which are anti-american and human rights violators?Yet the american people continue to struggle paying their bills and medical costs with the high taxes were asked to pay.I don't think we should intervene in the affairs of nations who don't want or appreciate our help.I would also pull our troops from germany,japan,south korea,saudi arabia and others.I would also end all welfare programs,privatize social security,stop govt waste.

Isn't most aid money tied? Meaning it isn't just given away, there are terms and conditions which go along with it, such as paying it back (ha, ha) or doing business with American firms. I'm not saying all conditions are met, but there are still profits for some in it.

With the oil reserves in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico, I think we could be comfortably self-sufficient and free of OPEC's strangle-hold.

As for how long before the rest of the world decides that we no long need to exist?

Do you think once the rest of the world discovered they were the "have-nots"(without our support) and that we were the "haves", they would stage an invasion similar to that in the book "Camp of the Saints"? I'd tell them to bring it on and make peace with their god(s).

They need us not vice versa.

I think this is the beauty of America. We help others, even our enemies. We try to help them find freedom and peace like we have it. What other nation has ever done that? This is why America will survive, because we care. Of all the other World powers, none of them cared about others, but we care for others, even our enemies. This is because we are a Christian Republic.

Besides, as been pointed out, if we left the world alone, our economy would be destroyed. We live in a global economy. We tried to ignore what happened with Japan and Germany we had a World war. Well im sorry but we arent repeating the mistakes of the past. We are smarter than that.

We live in America, the Greatest nation thats ever existed till this point of time. And the only one that really has any chance of surviving until the millinium.

Get real and read some history other than than comic book stuff they push in public schools; we did not ignore Japan, we put an economic blockade against them that forced them into war. We had a strangle hold on their country's life and they had no choice but to go to war to survive. The japs weren't doing anything to Asia that the Europeons hadn't been doing for 200 years, raping the natural resources of the orient for themselves and the Europeons didn't want to lose their little colonial goldmines. The same happened with Germany; England was afraid of losing her precious empire/colonies and blockaded Germany. The Germans wanted to be allied with the Brits, being the ruling power on the European continent and letting Britin rule the rest of the world through her colonial system like she had been doing. The Brits however did not want any one country to be superior on the continent because they feared colonial expansion from such a power. Britain has always tried to keep the European countrys at one another's throats to diminish their potential threat to England.

Yes, we did pratically ignore Japan until they started attacking us and our allies' colonies. They invaded the Asian continent and spread violence and fear by killing and torturing civilians, so what did we do? We cut off their oil supply, oh boo hoo. They already had plans to invade oil producing countries in southeast Asia. Their mistake was attacking the Philipines, but at least they tried to take out our Navy on the same day (Pearl Harbor). In WWII, the Brits and Germans still held animosity towards each other due to WWI, so the Germans in no way wanted anything to do with the Brits and vice versa. WWII was revenge, and we ignored them, too, as they rolled over Europe and took out everything east of Spain and west of Moscow.

Now, back to the original topic. I like America as a philanthropist nation. No matter what, we try our best to help those that need it. It's the whole "Give us your tired, your poor, your hungry..." spiel. Think of it this way. If we try to help everyone out and they attack us anyway, they don't really have an excuse and we can get all kinds of help in the retaliation. Also, how would you like it if you were one of the billions of people living off of less than $2 a day, while we sit over here and complain about how expensive health care is, and how much gas costs, and how you just can't live without that shiny, new car. I know it's a bit of a socialist principle, but I believe that since we have, it is proper to give some of it to those that have not.

Try this on for size, slugger: should the pacifists in the country have to pay taxes for a military? Should I have to pay for the salary of a president I don't support? Yes, because we do not live in a democracy, we live in a rebublic, or a representative democracy if you like that phrase better. Learn some poly sci, slick, you won't sound quite as stupid that way. Furthermore, if you'd like us all to grab a rifle and die in a war, doesn't that mean that you support US involvement overseas? What's the difference between paying Venezuela a couple of million dollars a year and overthrowing someone we view as an evil dictator? Is a goal more admirable because we do it with a rifle bought by your tax money instead of directly by your tax money? On that note, don't ever whine about not having money. America has a grossly disproportionate amount of money for its population, and you've obviously got enough money to eat because you can afford a luxery like the internet. America does what it does (for good or for ill) in order to fulfill our responsibility as the world's only super power. Understandably, this is a strange time in history, and America is the first to attempt this type of involvement. So learn to seperate the economy from the government, pay attention to how your own damn government works before you claim to know about it, and read the constitution before you cite it, because I have the distinct feeling that you're not very familiar with it.
