Americans are divided on health care, as well. When all adults were asked if the government should provide a national health insurance program "for all Americans, even if this would require higher taxes" a majority — 56 percent — support it, with 40 percent disapproving of the idea. But of that 56 percent, more say it should not completely replace private health insurance, 32 percent, with 21 percent saying it should.

On stage, Sanders and Harris both raised their hand when asked who would abolish private health insurance in favor of a government-only plan, only for Harris to backtrack, saying she misunderstood the question.

A little over 10 years ago, on June 22, 2008, a Salvadoran illegal alien and MS 13 gang banger named Edwin Ramos murdered three American citizens in San Francisco. He gunned down three members of the Bologna family, the father and two sons in broad daylight on a San Francisco street using an AK-47. A fourth family member, a son also in the car, survived.

Ramos was well known to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD). He was convicted of assault in 2003, of attempted robbery in 2004, and had killed before in 2006.

He was finally convicted of the triple homicide in 2012, four years after the murders occurred.

I sat in the courtroom during the arraignment of Ramos with a Bologna family member. There were more police around us than the perpetrator.

Kamala Harris, then District Attorney for the city and county of San Francisco, incredibly would not ask for the death penalty for this murderer.
