Happy Juneteenth.

Ssshhhh. Don't say that out loud otherwise the negros will start whining for another stinking holiday.

Happy joketeenth. Lol ...

It really is a joke of a holiday. Better the date the 13th Amendment was ratified on, abolishing slavery, than this silliness.

I don't care what the rest of the nation/world decides to do.

In Texas, it's a holiday. We celebrate it. We love all Texans. We are Texans first, before race, religion, creed, etc.

What happens in Texas should stay in Texas as far as "Juneteenth" is concerned. It has no national importance.

In Russia and East Europe, where workers and peasants made up the majority of population, the rebellion was much stronger.

Baltic sailors were particularly angry and they were the main force in Revolution

Did they burn, murder, loot, and riot?

Russian and East European peasants really got revenge on noble classes.

1) In Russia in 1918-1920 and East Europe in late 1920s, all former nobles property was nationalized.

2) Baltic sailors took revenge on their officers who abused them for years. Some officers were thrown into the cold sea in February - March 1917.

3) I am proud of my great-grandparents who worked and fought for Leon Trotsky and Revolution. Sadly, in 1920s Leon Trotsky lost and in 1930s USSR became Totalitarian.

4) Joseph Stalin had many faults -- Totalitarianism and harshness. Joseph Stalin had many virtues -- the greatest role of any mortal human in defeat of Nazism.

Triotsky version was more like Bernie Sanders
Stalin had zero virtue and it was a few genius generals that won

Leon Trotsky wanted to build a truly humane Socialist State. Joseph Stalin was Totalitarian, but it is his great virtue that he played the main role of any mortal in defeating Nazism.

Hitler had many more victims then Stalin.
