The biggest celebration of American-Italian culture in the world, the Columbus Day parade attracts around a million spectators and 35,000 marchers each year. For over 73 years, Fifth Avenue is filled with Italian flags and people dressed as Christopher Columbus. Marching school bands, professional musicians, and traditional folk groups perform on their way from Midtown to Upper East Side, creating a lively atmosphere.

There are a lot of Italians who do not like the representation of their own the way they are portrayed. But the entertainers do not listen. It is okay to promote hate against Italians. Columbus Day is an Italian Holiday. The bullshit you spread about him is just more Prog agenda tripe. The worst part is Italian actors get involved in this crime against their own and some are sacrosanct Progs who demean any thing that even has a wisp of hate as promoted by the Progs except the mafia and other stereotypes of the Italian people. I never claimed it was “an act of God”.

He discovered it for Western civilization. No one is claiming he was the first human to set foot in the Western Hemisphere. The Vikings discovered it long before him, but it never resulted in anything significant as the knowledge was lost.
