The U.S. response should be to ignore it, send no troops, and send all Haitians who wash up here back immediately. Haitians bring AIDS, drug crime, and nothing good.

well i have to agree a little bit with this one willie bubba. but as i see it, we dont need to send people over there because we are strapping ourselves right now as it is. why stretch us further?

For the most part I also agree we should stay out of their affairs and let them work their own problems out ! Our government though does have a responsibility to try and protect American citizens, where ever in the world they may reside. I can understand if we deem it necessary to send in Marines to get the US citizens out of that country. Though after that action, it is time to let the situation play itself out !

As far as immigrants from Haiti, I can only speak from my experiences and the ones that I have met, are in fact very educated and nice people. This is probably why they left that country. I think our primary immigration problem should be addressed first, the Mexican connection !!

Aristide Bows to Pressure, Leaves Haiti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - President Jean-Bertrand Aristide left Haiti on Sunday, bowing to pressure from a rebellion at home and governments abroad, his Cabinet minister and close adviser Leslie Voltaire told The Associated Press.

At least three other sources confirmed the information, including diplomats and a security aide.

An Associated Press reporter saw an unmarked white jet take off from Port-au-Prince's airport Sunday morning, and Voltaire said Aristide was on board along with his palace security chief Frantz Gabriel.

Libs always lie about who they are and what they fundamentally believe. gegege. I just flipped through NBC on the tube. They had a 'breaking story' on haiti. Part of the blurb gave a clip of Aristide's lawer accusing the CIA of fomenting the rebellion. Thank god for the internet and cable.
