Pneumonia and Influenza Hospitalization and Death Tracking:
The Aggregate Hospitalization and Death Reporting Activity (AHDRA) system was implemented on August 30, 2009, and replaces the weekly report of laboratory confirmed 2009 H1N1-related hospitalizations and deaths that began in April 2009. Jurisdictions report to CDC the number of hospitalizations and deaths resulting from all types or subtypes of influenza, not just those associated with 2009 H1N1. Counts were reset to zero on August 30, 2009. From August 30, 2009 – March 27, 2010, 41,689 laboratory-confirmed influenza-associated hospitalizations and 2,096 laboratory-confirmed influenza-associated deaths were reported to CDC.

CDC - Seasonal Influenza (Flu) - Weekly Report: Influenza Summary Update

Average annual death rate from flu: 56,000.

Not too worry, the government is already ramping up to save you from the next flu to end all of us flus.

LOL. Nice job of proving that you are both idiots. The CDC's job is to prevent pandemics. This particular virus is a very mutable virus, and earlier versions have caused pandemics with high fatality counts.

And yet for all the hoopla and scare mongering no pandemic has occurred. We had no more deaths due to flu last year then we do average wise every year. And so far this year no noticeable increase to be worried about. By the way, did Obama rescind his National Emergency over this failed epidemic?

You just can't help but fall for the latest end of the world bunk, can you Old Rocks?
