Gun Battle Breaks Out in Kabul After Airport Comes Under Sniper Fire — One Afghan Soldier Dead

23 Aug 2021 ~~ By Jim Hoft
A gunfight broke out last night outside the Kabul Airport that included US and German soldiers.
One Afghan soldier was killed after the airport came under sniper fire.

The US and NATO forces have until August 31 to evacuate the city.
The Taliban is calling the shots now.
This is a disaster of epic proportions.

Israel National News reported:
American and German military forces engaged in a firefight with unidentified gunmen at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul Monday, the German military reported.
According to the military’s twitter posts, One Afghan guard was killed and three were wounded in the skirmish, which occurred at the airport’s northern gate.
CNN reported that a sniper fired at an Afghan guard from outside the airport. The guards returned fire, and the American and German forces became embroiled in the firefight.
Chaos has engulfed the airport since August 15, when the Taliban seized control of Kabul and the rest of Afghanistan. Twenty people have been killed in the scramble to get on board one of the flights leaving the Kabul airport, including seven who were killed in a crush yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Associated Press reports that US military aircraft are performing dive bomb landings at the airport in response to an emerging threat from the Islamic State affiliate in Afghanistan, while aircraft deploy flares upon takeoff to avoid being shot down by heat-seeking missiles.

Comment:
Americans were warned that Joey Bai Dung was a failure. You were showed proof. You were given quotes by his democrat associates about how bad he was.
This isn't Joey's failure, it is those who blindly voted and cheated in November. This is the results of Bai Dung's 'Build Back Better'.
Joey's and his sycophants' have sold out America and have set up the forces sent to Afghanistan on this rescue operation for a massacre of monumental proportions.

Americans were warned that the US was pulling out last year and did nothing to secure their departure.

Hurry up. Taliban patience is waning. Hurry hurry!

This is worse than Custer's Last Stand.... and the Fall of Saigon.
At least our troops were shooting back then. Here our cowardly and fraudulent president is forcing our troops to stand there and be targets.

Pssst, if you haven't noticed that is what happens between soldiers at war.

Well, not to be the bearer of bad news but this could easily turn into Custer's last stand. Couple holes in that runway kills transport...thousands of innocent women and children stuck on the airfield...coalition can't bomb because good and bad mashed together.
60,000 Taliban pouring into a perimeter defended by a few thousand coalition forces. It could be worse.
We better GTFO with a quickness.

The longer people stand outside of the airport the more angry they will become on both sides...but Joe said they have a plan.....

I heard predictions that we will see former Afghan troops and interpreters as well as civilians that helped us turning their guns on American troops for abandoning them in this way....

I'm waiting for some terrorist Taliban/Al Qaeda to step up and empty an AK-47 magazine into the perimeter of the Airport, killing or wounding American troops. How will our troops respond?

They were also told, seven months ago, that the drawdown had been postponed. It takes a disgusting shill to blame Americans for the actions of the Taliban, but you and your ilk fit the bill, perfectly. I guess any we see beheaded "had it coming", eh?

Air power on the ready for use when needed.
Yeah. It's 800 miles from Kabul to the shores of the Arabian Sea. Carrier drivers tend to stay well out to sea for security so you're probably about 900-1000 miles, one way. We COULD handle refueling with tankers but Bagram was the closest base they could sortie from. But keep looking for comebacks. In the days ahead you folks are going to find them harder and harder to generate.
