Well this comes as no surprise. The mighty Greg Laden, one who sits on many government grant hand out boards lies out his ass and calls for a real scientist firing. All because the paper published and peer reviewed shows AGW a lie and has FACTS.

The research in question is the paper “Why models run hot: results from an irreducibly simple climate model” written by Lord Monckton, Wille Soon, David Legates, and Yours Truly. See Climate Paper Causes Chaos, Angst, Anger, Apoplexy! (Hacking?) for more details.

Not one penny, not one iota of consideration of any kind, was received from any source for the writing of this paper. It was a labor of love, done on personal time (of which, for my heresies, I have mountains). We wrote and re-wrote, and re-wrote some more, then decided which journal might enjoy seeing the paper. We knew (see Climategate) our names alone would cause its rejection from the usual “Consensus” sources. So we went where we were not known, figuring the work would be judged on its merits and not its politics. It was.

Real science from a journal which has put politics aside..... But then the butt hurt Laden and his followers take the Slandering Sou approach to inconvenient facts displayed.. A paper which shows why all current modeling fails.

Last week, the Climate Investigations Center wrote the Science Bulletin editorial staff expressing concern that Dr. Soon had not disclosed his funding sources or his outside consulting fees when submitting the article, in which “The authors declare that they have no conflict [of interest].” We attached a spreadsheet of the known grants that Soon has received in recent years from fossil fuel interests (also pasted below).

The Boston Globe published today on our inquiry to the journal:

The House of Lords has stepped up its efforts to make Christopher Monckton –climate sceptic and deputy leader of the UK Independence party (Ukip) – desist in his repeated claims that he is a member of the upper house. The push comes as Buckingham palace has also been drawn into the affair over his use of a logo similar to parliament's famous portcullis emblem.

Last month, Michael Pownall, clerk of the parliaments, wrote to Lord Monckton, a hereditary peer, stressing that he should not refer to himself as a member of theHouse of Lords, and nor should he use any emblem representing the portcullis.

In a letter seen by the Guardian, Monckton replied this week to Pownall stating that "the House of Lords Act 1999, which purported to exclude hereditary peers from membership of the House of Lords, is defective". Monckton argued that the act, which debarred all but 92 of the 650 hereditary peers, removed the right to sit or vote in the upper house, but did not remove membership because peerages are granted by "letters patent" which are a personal gift of the monarch. Monckton claimed in the letter that "only a specific law can annul a grant. The 1999 act was a general law."
