I guess “somebody” wasn’t following their own rules?

RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam announced Friday that he and his wife have both tested positive for the coronavirus, though he said he is showing no symptoms.

He's among four governors around the country who have tested positive for the virus that causes COVID-19, but one of the others turned out to be a false positive.

People his age have a 97.9 % recovery rate.... And he is in fair health... No reason he will not deal with this virus like any cold and be good....

What people are ignoring is over 99.8% of the populace will have mild symptoms and recover quickly. The few who do have problems has had a significant drop in death rates by 85% in just 6 months. Many treatments now even help the very elderly with other morbidities... It is no longer a death sentence for the older population. And that is what the left DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW!

We as a nation need to get on with life.

This is a myth. People old and young get affected by the coronavirus in unexpected ways. I have a personal anecdote of a healthy woman who survived the coronavirus without ever needing hospitalization, but after a minor operation was stricken by a pulmonary embolism, that could have been due to blood clots from COVID-19.

Not according to the CDC..

COVID-19 causes INFLAMMATION and then damage to major organs. MOst people are not having an issue but there are some that do. Everyone is different and handle this virus differently. There will always be outliers with ANY ILLNESS as problems in progress do not always present themselves. In short, you can have a problem in progress of forming that adversely affects you and you would never know it. This is why the "practice" of medicine is called a PRACTICE, nothing is assured.

These "outliers" are less than 0.08% of the populace.. Just more left wing fearmongering to keep people in fear.... Disgusting....

Are you quoting a different CDC?

COVID-19 and Acute Pulmonary Embolism in Postpartum Patient

Venous embolism has been associated with severe infection. Acute pulmonary embolism has been associated with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus infections

Three cases of deep vein thrombosis with COVID-19 also have been reported

The patient we report was young, was not critically ill or septic, and had no evidence of disseminated intravascular coagulation.

Multiple conditions made this patient susceptible to pulmonary embolism. Because inflammation and coagulation are related, infected patients have hypercoagulable state . Virchow’s triad, which contributes to thrombosis, has 3 factors: venous stasis, hypercoagulability, and endothelial injury. Septic patients have criteria of Virchow’s triad; cesarean section as a surgery contributed to Virchow’s triad in this patienet because endothelial injury made the patient prone to embolic events

LOL ...

A SINGLE PATIENT....

An Outlier... And there is nothing you can do about these... They happen in medical practice.. And you ignore the statistical facts... How unsurprising..

I had my anecdote which of course means little overall, but the CDC had from early on recognized the effects of coronavirus on 100% healthy people.

Making it a myth that the young and healthy have nothing to fear from it.

It will be interesting after a time that we will find out all about this virus and how it affects different people in different ways.

We apply that in war. The young and the healthy have a higher survival rate from bullets and bombs than older people.
