I found out with a little research that structural steel starts to lose its strength at 300 Degrees Celsius (572 degrees Fahrenheit) and increases rapidly after 400 degrees Celsius ( 752 degrees Fahrenheit) Also, once combustible materials used in buildings are ablaze, they will burn at significantly higher temperatures than the 600 degrees that the jet fuel was burning at. Therefore, it is not necessary for the steel to outright melt to cause the World Trade Center to collapse.
