Good News From Iraq?

man i cant even count all the lies its like there professional liars and thats there job like right after 911 bush said he watched the first plane hit the tower on the t.v but that was not possible , the weapons of mass destruction ,that everyone in the CIA told him did not exist, when he said that no one in his administration every imagined a scenario of planes crashing into buildings when really there where all kinds of Intel and drills over that exact scenario and there are at least a few hundred more examples

Along the lines of what i expected from you. Thanks for being predictable.

Yeah I bumped up a similar post that jimmyc started about 3 years ago - and he was saying the same thing. Same sort of list. Schools hospitals 58 community groups guess what 3 years later Iraq is an even bigger bloodbath.

It's always the same. Is there anything 'good' going on? Yes. Well 'it's not the right kind of news or not enough...' Same as, 'there's no WMD's...' Well, yes there was this and this,' well, 'it's not enough or dangerous enough or not what was said, so move along.'

3 years ago the righties were complaining they didn't hear enough good news from Iraq. You think that's maybe because there was more important news that would have a bigger influence on the future of Iraq? Like the fact that more and more people are getting shot over there?

Go ahead. Post all the "good news" you want, if you're good at it, the military will pay you a few million bucks to go to Iraq and post only "good news" in Iraqi newspapers as if you were an independent journalist. Meanwhile, the fact remains is Iraq is a massive bloodbath due to the mistakes of a incompetent Republican President and the place is going to continue to be a bloodbath AT LEAST as long as we're there and likely long afterwards, but the President insists on perpetuating a flawed policy that will send thousands more Americans to die so he doesn't look like a "wimp" to all the other world leaders.

Thank God there were less of you people, spiderman, during WWII. If the people knew how bad it was in Europe during that war, we would have lost it. Why do you want us to fail?

People like you are the enemy.

yeah really. But the media really runs amuck on most of the things really going on over in Iraq.

You're right about the media. They are not helping the war. I believe in freedom of the press, but I don't believe it is absolute. What happened to love for country? I think they have a responsibility to the people to censor themselves for the greater good, which is winning the war on Islamic extremism.
War is hell, but it could be worse.:eusa_wall:

"I'd rather fight than switch to the religion of peace!"

Well when it is spoken about freedom of the press. I'm sure there are several areas that are stretched for the sake of the freedom and the press. Mostly money and the so-called story. I believe that many things our government is doing should be left to official eyes and ears only and kept quiet and if it is leaked those involved should be punished severally. I'd like to trust my government that they are doing things in the best interest of the nation and its security and for my Freedom for the days to come. Having said that those officials are elected but I believe need to know is just that. But until we get back to those almost simple stupid basics then we'll forever lose battles and further lack of respect world wide.
Oh yes it could be worse we all might be forced at gun point to bow down on a piece of rug and say some prayer to someone else’s god on a daily basis or until we protest and get killed......
