Glenn Beck Urges Listeners to Leave Churches That Preach Social Justice

come on BABA... let's see you whip out the ole bible for more than something to shit on when making excuses for your politics....

HHHHHeeereee kitty kitty kitty kitty....

I would think also that Beck was talking about the kind of Church that Obama attended. You know, the kind teaching seperatist and hateful teachings.

Additionally, the Supreme Court has upheld proselytizing... even to your door.

Obama went to Pat Robertsons church?
Wow

Yep even to my door, but I can also answer my door with a gun in hand.

Answering the door naked, gets rid of them, too.

Your intrepetation is always bastardized. And your claims that you win every argument are evidence of narcissism, not accuracy.

I dare you to back that up with SCRIPTURE instead of your laughable fucking opinion. come on, Baba... don't let this ATHEIST school you on your own fucking faith!

Precious... an athiest using the Bible to explain Christian beliefs.

I am betting he doesn't like Christians "shoving their beliefs" down his throat, but yet he shoves his religion down our throats, the only difference is he does it in a mean hateful manner.

And don't fool youself... atheism is a religion too with its own "faiths".

I'm still waiting for those studies on the charitable practices of Liberals vs Conservatives :eusa_whistle:

There is in fact on such study, I have seen it, and I think the methodology is halfway decent.

The thing is, Conservatives like to give to charitable causes, like their childrens' baseball team, their town museum, or the local prom, and then write this off on their taxes.

In other words, things they would have been paying for anyway, that qualify under the rather obscure and broad "charity" laws that exist at the moment.

Thus they avoid paying their dreaded taxes, and get the things they want in their local area half paid for by federal tax exemptions.

There was a recent article in the NY Times describing just this phenomenon, though they didn't specify Conservatives as the primary offenders, they simply detailed all the crazy things that now fall under the category of "Charitable Donations".

I'll see if I can find the article.

that article does raise some very valid questions -

"One issue is the growing confusion over what constitutes a charity at a time when nonprofit groups look more like businesses, charging fees and selling products and services to raise money, and state and local governments are under financial pressure because of lower tax revenues.

And there are others: Does a nonprofit hospital give enough charity care to earn a tax exemption? Is a wealthy university providing enough financial aid?"

"The single biggest predictor of someone's altruism, Willett says, is religion. It increasingly correlates with conservative political affiliations because, as Brooks' book says, "the percentage of self-described Democrats who say they have 'no religion' has more than quadrupled since the early 1970s." America is largely divided between religious givers and secular nongivers, and the former are disproportionately conservative. One demonstration that religion is a strong determinant of charitable behavior is that the least charitable cohort is a relatively small one -- secular conservatives."

if the religious givers listen to Beck I guess that will change won't it?

Not if they are female. They just get a glazed mezmerized look in their eyes.

You mean the Becker-head actually said that Nazi's are on the right? First "fact" I have heard him get right. Last I heard from him commies, and Nazi’s , liberals, and socialists were all the same.

Well, there's a lot of Christians on the left too.

Beck basically attacked all Christians. Perhaps he feels they should all convert to Mormonism?

I'll leave any church that uses the pulpit of the Most High to further their political agenda. God is neither democrat or republican he's holy. Religion and politics don't belong together period. My faith is my business and nobody else's. And definitely not Glenn Becks.

If you feel so strongly then I invite you to battle me with scripture, baba. I bet you won't.

Did you have that scripture were Jesus tells people to grow the government and make charity its job?
What happened to separation between Church and state?

Mr Beck did not specify that he meant ONLY governmental attempts at "Social Justice" in his comments.

Thus his statement included all church-related anti-poverty efforts, such as alms to the poor.

That is why people in the church are rather pissed at the moment.

I believe Glenn's point was about "Mandated" contributing. One might also consider distinguishing between funds that are voluntary V.S. Tithed.
