Investigators believe the boy lived in the neighborhood. The woman who called 911 spoke to CBS 11 News about what she saw.

“I see something laying in the road and my initial thought was that it was a dog. The closer I get to it I can tell it’s a human cause I see a hand and I see legs. Very traumatizing. I have three kids. To see a child covered in blood in the middle of the street, it’s truly traumatizing,” she said.

Man arrested after slaying of 4-year-old boy found dead on street in Mountain Creek area, Dallas police say

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 4-year-old boy whose body was found lying on a street in the Mountain Creek area Saturday morning,...

The boy’s body was found with multiple wounds about 7 a.m. in front of a home in the 7500 block of Saddleridge Drive, near West Wheatland Road and Mountain Creek Parkway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police spokesman Albert Martinez said that the boy died in a violent manner and that “an edged weapon” appeared to have been used.

A haz-mat team arrived about 2:30 p.m. to clean up a circle of dried blood where the boy’s body was found.
