Anybody know what kind of idiot, take a toddler in a baby carriage to a protest? Why would they expose their kid to the crowds, during a pandemic, much less the dangers of protests.

First of all, toddlers are totally immune and actually gain immunity by earlier exposure to coronaviruses.
Second is that a person with a toddler has to take the kid with them everywhere.
There really are no other options for most people.

If it is not safe to take your kid to a certain type of activity, be it a protest or a white water or climbing trip, you do not take the kid and if necessary, to handle your responsibility to and for the kid, you skip going. It is as simple as that.
