Actually we do. Some of the US-nukes in Germany are indeed in German possession as part of the nuclear sharing. However, the US must approve any German request for a nuclear strike and the codes are delivered only directly before a mission.
What Lambrecht lacks is proper aircraft. Our Tornados are rotting, other capable plans were decommissioned and the Eurofighter is not certified by the US to carry US nukes. So she wants either the US to allow Eurofighters or buy US aircraft. The new government is about to almost double the defense budget.
