This woman knows tyranny when she sees it. She lived it. Now she is seeing it again, only this time in America.

Why does this administration listen in on calls and other communications of ordinary Americans and leaders of countries that are our allies, yet they refuse to acknowledge the radical Muslims and the threat they pose? Obama is adament when it comes to refusing to openly condemn the violence and murder of innocents.

When it comes to spying on average Americans, who happen to believe in the constitution or support the military, it's a different story. It's clear how Dems feels about our military in light of recent moves to cut benefits for retired military and spend the money on illegal aliens instead. It's also clear how he feels about our allies. They get spied on while our sworn enemies get billions in aid and billions in equipment and weapons to strengthen their military. al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood and other radicals have never had it so good. We are helping to fund our own demise.

And, at this rate, we won't have any allies coming to our aid.

A judge has already determined that the spying is unconstitutional. They need to stop instead of debating the level of spying they'll continue to do without due cause. I don't think it's about finding potential terrorist threats, I think it's all about finding out who their political enemies are. And we can only wonder what action will be taken once they determine which side of the fence people are on.

German Chancelor Goes Off On Obama: NSA Spying Comparable To That Of East Germany

In an angry phone call with Barack Obama, Germany's Angela Merkel has compared NSA tapping of her cell phone with the practices of the secret police of communist East Germany, where she grew up.

When? Oh when, has Germany ever come to rescue the USA?

Clementine, you're being incredibly disingenuous by trying to lay the blame solely on the current administration and Democrats. Both parties, and the previous and current administrations, are equally guilty of everything you ranted about in the OP.

Yes, and?

You missed your chance to impeach the War Criminal Bush and the Oil Thug Cheney for the EIGHT years of King George III's reign. Take responsibility for your own failure as a party for those EIGHT years and stop trying to bring us down with you.

It also appears that the Republicans will not impeach the Mass Murderer (drone strikes) and Traitor (aiding an abetting Al Qaeda) Obama and Lawless Despot Eric Holder.

You partisans can take your shit and shove it. The OVERWHELMING majority of **aware*** Americans are fed up with the shit from both sides. We know that you partisans spew trash from your mouths on the podium, from your fingers on the internet and from your pens on paper.

Go away.

The stasi spied on as many people as it could.
The stasi killed its own citizens without trial.

No, I'm not, but any liberal who bashed Bush for doing less than what Obama is doing is a huge hypocrite. The left complained constantly about Bush and back then I also sharply criticized the practice.

Now it's about Obama and the Dems.

Obama has stepped up the spying and expanded government power to hold citizens indefinitely and without a lawyer or trial. He can kill citizens without due process.

Bush is gone and yet the policies the left bitched about most still remain. I haven't seen any bills introduced by Dems to stop practices, only add to them. Hmmm.

If you didn't like it when Bush did it, why aren't you concerned now that Obama is doing it to an even greater extent?

Goddamn you conservative fuckers are pure kind of crazy.

There's a difference between spying on other countries and/or the American people. One is legal and the other is illegal.

Spying on the citizens of foreign states adheres to the Law of Nations, as written in our Constitution?

Article I, Section 8:
To define and punish piracies and felonies committed on the high seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations;

"No agreement with a foreign nation can confer power on Congress or any other branch of government, which is free from the restraints of the constitution" [Reid, supra].

Art. I Sec. 8 Cl. 10 of the Constitution for the United States delegates the power to Congress to "define and punish ... Offenses against the Law of Nations". It is important to understand what is and is not included in the term of art "law of nations", and not confuse it with "international law". They are not the same thing. The phrase "law of nations" is a direct translation of the Latin jus gentium, which means the underlying principles of right and justice among nations, and during the founding era was not considered the same as the "laws", that is, the body of treaties and conventions between nations, the jus inter gentes, which, combined with jus gentium, comprise the field of "international law". The distinction goes back to ancient Roman Law.

Briefly, the Law of Nations at the point of ratification in 1788 included the following general elements, taken from Blackstone's Commentaries, and prosecution of those who might violate them:

(1) No attacks on foreign nations, their citizens, or shipping, without either a declaration of war or letters of marque and reprisal.

(2) Honoring of the flag of truce, peace treaties, and boundary treaties. No entry across national borders without permission of national authorities.

She is posturing...anyone with more than 2 brain cells knows this.
Obama's popularity in Europe is waning because, like so many of those who voted for him, thought he was much more than what he showed himself to be - a mouthpiece.
So - she is hammering away to prop herself up in hew own rankings.
