Funny how Obama rails against big corporations and claims to be for the people yet the big corporations are the one's surviving this recession and the people get the shaft...

To bad Obama and his fellow Democrats didn't spend as much time on helping the economy as they did getting government run health care to pass. More proof that Obama and his agenda is more important than the country.

Quote from Geitner:
"What happened in our country should never happen again," he said. "People were paid for taking enormous risks. It was a crazy way to run a financial system." Geithner said, "It's the government's job ... to do a better job of restraining that kind of risk-taking."

Translation: The Government should take care of people to dumb to take responsibility for their own decisions.

Indeed. From the article seems like they will continue to accept the 'unacceptable' and catering to the special interests. At the same time, they will continue to spend like they actually have money to keep at their domestic economic takeover.

Weird thing wanting to take over broken system, but there you have it. The best and brightest and their hope and change. Their hopes and our changes.

If you eliminate risk by definition you eliminate reward.
And we all become serfs of the state.

How will our corps compete in a world economy where other countries corps do not bear the cost of healhtcare?

The countries which insure a healhty workforce and free the corps of the cost will see their corps have an edge in the global market.

This is why Sweden is a world economic power while China or Taiwan are languishing backwaters?
You are an ignorant tool of the first order.

And exactly where do you think the money comes from for the "free" healthcare?

Sadly, many truly believe it is as easy as printing up money and that yes, it is the Governments money.

Go figure.

Its still to high and hopefully he attacks this with the vigor he had when dealing with health care.

Things are way way way better than they were a few years ago, but it stilll sucks.

There's no government run health care in the new law.

And Geithner is talking about regulations on the financial institutions so they can't trade that crap they were trading that caused the economy to fail.

You've got it all wrong dude.

In other countries, it comes from the money they aren't spending on military. We spend more on military than all other countries in the world COMBINED.

There is no such thing as free healthcare. No more than there are free warships and guns.
We pay for it one way or the other. In this case, the other is what we pay, 40% to 50% more than Japan, Germany, or Tawain, and get an inferior product.

Are you defending that?
