Obama Job Approval Hits 50 for First Time Since 2013

Gallup Obama 50.png

Less than a week after President Barack Obama delivered his State of the Union address to Congress, his job approval rating reached 50% in Gallup Daily tracking conducted Friday through Sunday. This is the first time the president's rating has returned to that level in Gallup's ongoing three-day rolling averages since June 2013.

Only three months ago, in mid-October, 39% of Americans approved of Obama's job performance -- near his term low of 38%, last reached in September. His approval recovered slightly to 42% by the time of the Nov. 4 midterm elections. Following the elections -- after announcing executive actions on immigration and benefiting from an improving economy and falling gas prices -- his approval rating has gradually improved, averaging 44% in December and 46% thus far in January.

I'm no fan of Gallup: their polling sucked rocks in 2008, 2010 and 2012. So, if Gallup is showing the President at 50, you can be guaranteed that he is above 50.

At this point in 2007, George W. Bush was at 37%.

If that poll is accurate, 50% of Americans are dumber than I thought.

Wasn't it just a few weeks ago he was in the 30s?

No wonder...he warned Russia today that he will dream up some further ineffective sanctions to try to get them to back off Ukraine. He will also increase shipments of MREs to Ukraine by several dozen per month. Talk about a leader....

what does congresses approval have to do with Obama's? at least wait till Congress ovverrides a bill and make Obama cry like a baby when he no longer will have any say in it.

Gallup????:lmao::laugh: Don't they have an office in the east wing? Listen... this is just an attempt by the media and Gallup to raise his numbers after the SOTU speech because if a real poll were to be conducted he would still be under 40% and he would be the only president to not get a bump after the speech. It's just like when the dems need good economic #s they get them and a week or two later those numbers are revised. Stop being played America. Open your eyes. How's your savings account doing?

And let's not forget that Bush' Gallup poll in 2008 was....

Bush Job Approval at 28%, Lowest of His Administration
Bush Job Approval at 28 Lowest of His Administration

I don't mean to send your thread into the weeds, Statist. But the righties JUST CAN'T HANDLE THIS AT ALL.

True, but the date does not pass.

At this time in his administration, Bush was at 36%-37%. Best to compare the correct time period.

Here's the graph. It is the correct time period as stated by the date of the article, April 2008. 28% Approval.

Discontent with two endless wars opened doors for Obama.

if Obama was white, gallup would release the actual results, but because of his race, they need to keep him at 50% or they will be audited.
