This historic high shows that a majority of the people want Government to solve more problems.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- For the first time in Gallup's 28-year trend, a majority of Americans think the government should do more to solve the nation's problems. As the U.S. continues to struggle with the coronavirus pandemic, the resulting economic downturn, and racial injustice issues, 54% of U.S. adults favor increased government intervention, while 41% think the government is doing too much that should be left to individuals and businesses.

The public's desire for more government has increased seven percentage points since last year. This is one of the few times that government intervention has been favored over a more hands-off approach. The other instances have generally been when the U.S. has been facing a national challenge, including shortly after the 9/11 terrorist attacks and in 1992 and 1993 amid high unemployment in the wake of an economic recession.

It is interesting. The Republicans who do not favor increased intervention are in favor of the Government promoting Traditional Values. So intervention in favor of values is good. But anything else is bad. Except sending more Feds and even the Army to the cities to quell riots and protests.

Democrats want their terrorist to terrorize Americans. Vote blue or else they will attack you. The Americans who don't want to be attacked, want the feds to stop the Democrats and their terrorist because the state level Democrats won't. They even enable and encourage more violence.

We need vastly less gubmint action, because most of the time they are the problem.
All we have had for 40 years is GOP tax cuts and cuts in services for people and infrastructure. We are dying for government reform. Living way healthcare daycare paid parental leave cheap college and training ID card to end illegal immigration, and mainly taxing the rich more like their fair share and giant corporations. The worst inequality and upward mobility ever is not trivia. Canada already has everything that you call raving socialists want here period- it is not that scary, brainwashed functional moron.

This is the result of shipping jobs to China which hurts the Middle Class and then "government representatives swoop in to save the day. Look how many are promoting Big Government, socialist, in some cases, communist solutions. The very solutions that destroy liberty and to which so many have fought to prevent in the West.

If you follow this path, America, as in Canada, will be full of creepy covert "Watchers" who keep an eye on your family from child to the grave, determine your fate as they milk the system. Of course, it's presented as "administration" and in the best interest of the collective.

Do NOT follow our path. We keep trying to warn you, too many aren't listening.

The problem is we are not investing in our people or infrastructure, all to save the greedy idiot GOP rich and giant corporations from paying their Fair share. We have a flat tax system if you count all taxes, a ridiculous giveaway to the rich. You are misinformed. What watchers are you talking about you brainwashed functional moron? LOL

National problems require a national solution.
What national problems....
the worst inequality and upward mobility in our history and anywhere in the modern world by far . The worst propaganda machine in our history by far thank you Rupert murdoch.
Nothing beats the rest of the media
CBS documents scandal
NBC Dateline scandal
Peaceful Protests

I could go on, but I'd get carpal tunnell

Those who promote socialism haven't live under it. Maybe some have RULED in it, but nobody happily pushes socialism. Who in their right mind likes having less freedom and more government interference in their lives?

It's sometimes shocking to hear, but truly, it more saddening than anything. They know not what they do. Of course, some government assistance for humane purposes and for the benefit of society, but not ever growing expansion which just least to abuses of the worst kind in society.

It amazes me also, how so many from former communist and socialist-heavy nations make videos on youtube and such telling Americans, "do not fall for this", yes, so many do, to varying degrees.
