"Even though the CDC stopped attempting to track these cases, some states are still trying to. Bloomberg News recently gathered data from several states and has identified at least 111,748 vaccine breakthrough cases through the end of July...According to new data published, about three-fourths of people infected in a Massachusetts Covid-19 outbreak were fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, with four of them ending up in the hospital...Even among states that track cases closely, officials caution that the data is incomplete because vaccinated people who are infected and asymptomatic are likely largely missing from statistics."

Interesting point here.

"According to a recent report from the New York Times, a person working in partnership with the CDC on investigations of the delta variant, spoke about the breakthrough cases on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak.

The anonymous source said the data came from a July 4 outbreak in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Genetic analysis of the outbreak showed that people who were vaccinated were transmitting the virus to other vaccinated people. The source said the data was “deeply disconcerting” and a “canary in the coal mine” for scientists who had seen the data"

From the Bloomberg article in the OP

But in the months since, the number of vaccine breakthrough cases has grown, as has the risk that they present. And while the CDC has stopped tracking such cases, many states have not. Bloomberg gathered data from 35 states and identified 111,748 vaccine breakthrough cases through the end of July, more than 10 times the CDC’s end-of-April tally.
With more than 164 million Americans vaccinated, breakthrough cases are expected. The number of them should rise as more people are vaccinated, simply because there are more vaccinated people who could get infected.
Severe cases of disease in vaccinated people remain rare. Only 6,587 people in the U.S. have been hospitalized or died with Covid-19 after being fully vaccinated, according to the CDC.

Well .....

If Jim post it on Twitter then it has to be true .... Right?

Meanwhile back in the real world hospitals are full of sick fully vaxxed people.
If thousands died or were crippled by polio after getting the vax for it, that would be a nationwide scandal....But for the FauxiFlu, the moonbats just shrug.

At least 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans have tested positive for Covid and 1,400 of those have died, according to data collected by NBC News.
The 125,682 "breakthrough" cases in 38 states found by NBC News represent less than .08 percent of the 164.2 million-plus people who have been fully vaccinated since January, or about one in every 1,300. The number of cases and deaths among the vaccinated is very small compared to the number among the unvaccinated. A former Biden adviser on Covid estimated that 98 to 99 percent of deaths are among the unvaccinated.

As usual, people don't understand math. Or science.

The mRNA vaccines are ~95% effective. That means ~5% of the population who are vaccinated can still get the virus. That's compared to 100% of the unvaccinated who can get the virus.

I know math is hard, but

5% < 100%
