I could say: "You callous, cowardly, hateful paranoid assholes". You can see all this is a threat to your brand of "let them die" politics and you're worried.

You and I are not so different. We are just floating on opposite ends of the same piece of driftwood. You want to believe it was just a chance event that brought this on us. I think you’re late to the party. Americans lost much of their freedom long ago. It’s just now the oligarchy is so powerful they can blatantly and transparently limit our freedom without opposition or consequence to them.

I used to be conspiracy minded like you but slowly came to the realization practically none of it ever turned out to be true. The real conspiracies are right in your face and undeniable. Big business in bed with government. Wars for profit. Manipulation of markets. There's no need for hidden agendas when the public barely pays attention to anything.

It was a new and powerful idea that the people would control the government from the bottom up instead of being controlled from the top down.

Things went relatively well until the Great Depression when the stock market tanked, banks failed, the economy collapsed, and unemployment soared. Mass panic gripped the nation and there were no safeguards in place to stop the bleeding. Even with Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal the wound took a decade to heal.

After the Second World War things got back on track but a spoiled generation followed that was indoctrinated by higher education to believe the Depression was caused by a failure of capitalism and Roosevelt’s social engineering saved the country. This ushered in LBJ’s Great Society and in just a few years family units fell apart, crime went to unprecedented levels, drug use skyrocketed, cities deteriorated, and government grew by orders of magnitude.

There was amnesia among academics and politicians and the American experiment was tainted with revised history as the gears of the nation were bent to produce idiosyncratic outcomes dividing the country with identity politics and racial discord disguised as the usual “class struggle” that underlies all socialist/communist fundamentalism. Donald Trump’s election was a repudiation of the same bad ideas destroying personal liberty and propagating top-down authoritarian government that oppresses so may in the world.

This Coronavirus could be the final nail in the coffin for a free America. It is the result of the abandonment of the people by political aristocrats colluding with global cohorts on distant continents to overthrow American Exceptionalism and bury it forever. It’s convenient germ warfare to destroy the national economy and biologically euthanize the problematic weak, old and sick.

The plague couldn’t have come at a better time for the political elite in America and that includes both parties. Freedom was fun while it lasted wasn’t it?

Input appreciated. Perhaps you can explain the incredible timing of the incident. As it became clear that the administration was going to prevail due to a complete lack of credible competition from the opposition during a booming economy.

Player one is country A (USA) and player two is country B (CHINA). Country A is a liberal democracy that functions as a constitutional republic where ostensibly anyone from any walk of life can run for public office and in theory attain the position of leader of the country.

Country B is a communist dictatorship with an atheistic Marxist-Leninist fingerprint patterned after America’s university system where leaders are appointed by virtue of scholastic merit and a history of subservience to and support of group thinking over individual path seeking via personal experience and observation.

Country A (USA) has led its people into a checkmate position by putting the people at the mercy of country B (China). In a terrible move, all the drugs the people need to stay alive were handed to B by A’s political leadership giving B a tremendous advantage with its own move that can end the game as a winner any time it chooses.

Country A cannot move to condemn Country B for releasing a lethal virus because Country B will counter the move by cutting off the all the drugs the old and sick of Country A need.

It’s even worse than that. Country A’s economy is in collapse and it’s King (the dollar as the world’s reserve currency) is surrounded and exposed. Country B is biding its time to replace A’s King with its own which will destroy the main advantage that Country A had as a player.

That one move at the beginning of the game was a fatal error that has placed country A in a position where its options to win or even keep playing are close to nil.

Do you get it? Your political leadership (both parties) sold you out to China and China is winning. They did it for the age-old reason of bribery so they could get rich. They distracted you with absurd stupidity like transgender bathrooms to keep your eye off the ball.

They put on impeachment shows to fool you into thinking your real enemy was your own president. They filled your head with brainwashed, visceral and delusional hatred of a framed bad actor while they patiently waited for your political leaders to lead you right into their wheelhouse-game over.

One of the code words politicians and media use is..."Democracy". We are supposed to be a "Republic". That eroded as voters began to believe they can vote themselves goodies. And politicians helped them with it. So we became a "Democracy". Politicians in a much lower taxed environment made most of the tough decisions for the people who elected them. Today they still do that at times. But not for our interest it seems. In the early 1960's our federal government was ten times smaller then now. The state, local, city and regional governments are massively larger then in those days. The fiat currency we enacted in 1913 is the major reason. We do not know any other way and probably would not like a nation that went straight back to gold and silver backed currency like the constitution told us was real money. We are used to this. We can slowly let gold and silver become a percentage of the dollar or take the currency away from the mostly foreign owners and make it part of the government and print United States Notes instead of Federal Reserve Notes. We can eliminate some debts and eliminate the "cut" the foreign owners get from every dollar used.
