Allowing the freedom of thought and agreeing to disagree is the ultimate act of peace. Not tolerating a diversity of thought, is ruling over people with an iron fist.

Countries that have hate speech laws, are pretending to be something they are not. They allow the Koran which contains lots of hate speech.

People who died fighting for freedom, died for peace. People who died fighting against freedom died for ruling over people with an iron fist.

When big tech websites censor someone it is an escalation above the level of conversation. Allowing people to use their words is peace. We should boycott the advertisers who advertise on big tech websites.

Is it? The US has lots of conflict, both internal and external.

We have had "Freedom of the Press" for quite a while, yet publishers have never been required to publish letters or editorials by just anybody. They pick whose opinions they want to publish.

Big Tech websites are privately owned, therefore they, like the press, can pick what they'll allow to be posted on their websites. They get to set the rules.

No one's freedoms are being violated. If you don't like their rules, you are free to open your own website and post whatever you like.

BTW - Freedom of the Press and of speech were intended for people of good intent, not the lying slime balls that today's Republicans have become.

Gagging an Orange Sociopath who yells "Fire" in a crowded theater is a righteous service to the Republic and the Constitution, not repression.

Publishers can be sued for publishing letters, that have slander and libel in them. Big tech is claiming they are like the telephone company, who can't be sued because of what people say on the phone.

We are private individuals, we can pick what we do with our money. We can boycott their advertisers.

It's like phone companies like T-Mobile and Verizon could block you, from calling anyone who, has them as their phone company. That's what big tech is doing.

You can't read peoples minds, therefore you can't tell what peoples intentions are. Freedom of the press and speech, was and is, meant for BOTH people with good AND bad intentions. It was and is meant even for liars.
If you were wrong about that, what else are you wrong about?

1. I didn't say anything about the issue of Big Tech not being sued. That has nothing to do with what I said,

2. Feel free to boycott their advertiser for whatever reason you want.

3. You have a contract with the phone companies. You pay for their service. You don't pay or have any contract with social media sites.

4. It isn't very hard to read the minds of Trump supporters - you're all simpletons. The 'good intent' is based on the idea that intelligent people can discern between intelligence and idiocy. We liberals have 'The Onion' which we understand is purely satirical. Unfortunately, Trump's minions believe idiots like Carlson Tucker, Rush Limbaugh & Donald Trump - which proves that they can't differentiate between intelligence and idiocy.
