It would be a real tragedy if the U.S. decision to not accept MiG-29s from Poland and then transfer them to Ukraine is the end of this idea. Vladimir Putin's change in strategy from the beginning days of the War in Ukraine to engage in indiscriminate bombing of Ukrainian cities to up the cost on the Ukrainian people for their resistance by killing civilians warrants the Free World changing their response to this war by giving the Ukrainians combat planes so they can remove some Russian weapons systems from the battlefield to reduce this indefensible killing of civilians. The players at this juncture shouldn't worry about the deal that will be given to Poland to fill the hole in Poland's security defenses brought about by the loss of these MiGs, Poland is going to have a much bigger problem if in six months Russia has squadrons of Russian bombers stationed at the numerous airfields near Lviv, Ukraine. How to get the MiG's to Ukraine? Prudence calls for trying to elicit the help of peoples that hate Vladimir Putin and his Russian Government because of the abuses they have inflicted on them directly or indirectly! How about trying the country of Georgia back in 2008 Putin and his Russian regime took the areas of South Ossetia and Abkhazia from Georgia, it was naked aggression; currently Putin has his hands full in Ukraine he isn't going to invade Georgia over this. Georgia playing the role of "hand offing" the MiG's to Ukraine gives them an opportunity to get some pay back against Russia for 2008.
One could try the Kurds in Syria during the War of Syrian Rebellion the Kurdish people controlled like the Northern twenty-five percent of Syria and the Syrian Rebels were winning Bashar al Assad's days were numbered then the Satan's ally Valdimir Putin intervened on Assad's behalf contributing Russia's air force to the fight and since the Syrian rebels had no weapons to combat the Russian air force, Russian bombers pulverized the rebels and allowed Assads army to roll them up and now the Syrian Kurds lost a lot of land above the Euphrates river in the east and a lot of land in the western central northern part of Syria. If the Syrian Kurds want some payback against Russia over this harm to their people this opportunity where they play the "hand-off" role for the MiGs to Ukraine achieve this. Remember the Kurds don't need an airport here to receive the MiGs you build a four block long runway, get a small caravan of trucks with bags of concrete and steel rebar and you could build it in a week.
One could try a Libyan faction that controls the western part of Libya they certainly have an axe to grind against Vladimir Putin who has been derailing success in their country since the fall of the Dictator Muammar Gaddafi. Libya should be a great country they have the wealth vis-a-vis oil, the key, to be such. The central problem with Libya is threefold; it has a lot of sectarian groups resulting in a lot of infighting that should be able to be overcome especially over time if a central government is seen as giving a fair shake to all these groups over time. The second problem is more difficult it is the problem that many Islamic countries have noteworthy it was the core reason why Afghanistan fell it is the problem of orthodox Muslim groups wanting to subordinate civil law to Islamic law or what it is commonly referred to as making Sharia law supreme -the real answer to this problem is that governments and peoples throughout the world have to stop with the political correctness and adamantly and with one hundred percent resolve go against this; this Islamic ideology subjugates fundamental human rights to discriminatory Islamic values not to mention it eliminates a non-corrupt judiciary which dooms a country that does not have one. In any event the second problem could be relatively controlled because there is a lot of non-Islamist groups in Libya. The third problem is a nightmare for Libyans it is General Khalifa Haftar he is a wannabe dictator for Libya but unfortunately for the people of Libya he is enormously strong he has a powerful army which has enabled him to control most of the East and a lot of Liyan's oil resources; moreover, Haftar's lust for power is derailing the creation of a democratic, good and stable government in Libya. The relevant point is that Vladimir Putin has been General Haftar's creator, enabler and champion so Putin is the real cause behind the worrisome dysfunction in Libya! So maybe there is some group in eastern Libya that would like to get some justice against Vladimir Putin over this by facilitating the delivery of some MiG's to Ukraine.
This matter of receiving these MiGs is not inconsequential for the Ukrainian people. There is twenty-eight MiG's at issue here if that number of planes makes it to Ukraine it will save a lot of Ukrainians lives.
