Obviously many people privileged to have a university education have not understood one of the basic premises of the Academy, one going back to Socrates, (midwife of tolerance and reason), that we advance our ideas with our reason and not a primitive emotive torrent drowning out all discourse.

Often it is the voice that makes us the most uncomfortable that we need to be silent and listen to first.

We may still disagree, but our disagreement then is based on a rational rejection of the ideas and not a PC, emotional reflex little better than a Neanderthal throwing rocks at any passer by.
