Free Park Access on Veterans DayFor veterans day, parks and recreational areas across the country will offer complimentary admission to veterans and their families.
In Savannah, Georgia, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will waive use fees for vets, active and reserve component servicemembers, and their families from November 10 through 12 at recreational areas like Lake Hartwell and J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake. Other local recreational areas, like the Richard B. Russell Dam, are not corps-managed, but are being encouraged to waive fees as well.
