This is true, and that's because a McDonald's restaurant sells 1,000 hamburgers a day, 700 breakfast items, 2,000 soft drinks and coffee. That loss can be spread out to the point most customers won't notice or care.

But Bob of Bob's hardware store doesn't sell 600 hammers, 20 lawnmowers, 300 screwdrivers, 500 lbs of nails and screws a day. Bob has to greatly increase the cost of the products he does sell everyday to make up that loss.

Any small business owner would tell you that wage is only part of an employee cost. When wages increase, so do most of the other costs associated with that employee. If an employer gives an employee a dollar an hour raise, they have to pay 50 cents an hour more for all the other costs. Now if you are forced to double that wage, your other costs double as well.

If I have 20 employees at my small widget company, and I have to come up with an additional $10.00 per hour per employee, that's 200 bucks an hour. At the end of the week, the additional cost is $8,000 a week. At the end of the month, $32,000. My largest competitor is out of China. With all costs involved, we can both sell our widgets for around $7.00 each. Where am I supposed to recoup $32,000 a month from?

Except none of them did.... and the "investigation" was a cover up from start to finish.

They are, but in most cases the video helps the officer and not the criminal. The only coverup is in your head. Zero evidence as usual that your claim has any merit. Most of the witnesses lied, the others were found to be lying, and only the witnesses that testified to Wilson's real actions lined up with the evidence. No coverup.

Videos won't convince people like you anyway. You have a one track mind. You see things the way you wish to see them.

If thug cops, guns and prisons made us safer, we'd have the lowest crime rate in the industrialized world, not the highest.

We don't have the highest for one. Two, our country is very diverse unfortunately, something other European countries don't have to deal with. People of color are naturally more violent and criminal than people who are not. The more people of color, the more violent crime you have to deal with. Before you say it's racist to say that, there is nothing racist about statistics.

Bush controlled the house for 8 years. He didn't have any trouble getting his actual priorities through, like deregulation and tax breaks for the rich.

Fanny and Freddie weren't the problem, the problem was AIG and WaMu and all the other private banks who were writing out these loans for McMansions to middle class folks who couldn't afford them, knowing damned well that they could get their money back when they defaulted by reselling the foreclosed property. The places that demanded bailouts, and still paid their Execs Eight Figure bonuses after the collapse.

I've said all along Bush was complicit as well, but he didn't start this idiotic plan. Why should he? Blacks typically don't vote Republican. There was nothing in it for him or the Republicans. Bush wanted to allow people to use a portion of their SS contributions to put into an IRA, why couldn't he get that passed if it was so easy?

Yes, F&F was a huge part of the problem which is why the Republicans wanted to put a leash on them. F&F are who creates lending regulations that all banks must abide to.

We have just as many businesses as we've always had. There are great suburbs still here and doing very well. What's the difference? The difference are the people that moved in.
