Foreign hits or songs you like.

One of my favorite songs from when I was a but a kid! The only Japanese song to hit #1 on the US Music Charts:

I have to say that my taste in music is all over the place. I really like this piece ---- the THEME from a British movie called THE THIRD MAN. Great movie and a fantastic score. Now if I could only play the zither:
And this became a HIT in 1949. Of course it was the movie on TV (The Early Show) that turned me on to this oddity...

I also really enjoyed this one and rediscover it every so often --- 1962 Moscow Nights:
Here is the original Soviet version 1957:
Lyrics:
Moscow Nights

(Music: V. Soloviev-Gray-1957)
Not even rustles are heard in the garden,

Everything here froze until morning;
Все здесь замерло до утра;

If you knew how dear to me

Moscow Nights.
The river moves and does not move,

All of moon silver

The song is heard and not heard

On these quiet evenings
Well you dear look askance,

Bowing your head low,

Difficult to express and not express

All that is in my heart.
And the dawn is already more noticeable

So please be kind

Don't forget these summer ones too

Moscow Nights.
