Why this picture? Good question. It’s because this lovely woman is a singer. She was in the acappella group in Pitch Perfect. Her name is Kelly Jakle.

Not sure why she didn’t become a bigger star. She sings like an angel. She has the face of an angel. She also sings (or sang?) with some other acappella group called 7th Ave.

Female singers get compared to each other often. Karen Carpenter does not enter into those comparisons. She has been # 1 for 50 years. Always will be.

Many lady singers have marvelous voices. They don't have to be as good as Karen to achieve high status.
