So...at the state level....where the people live......they voted in 33 Republican Governors to run their state affairs...making the argument about the electoral college not representing the will of the people a dumb point.....

It is certainly a different take on democracy. I am guessing there are reasons that it is done like this that are rooted in history.

In the UK it is possible that the government could be elected with a minority of the votes but I do not think it has ever happened. Having said that we dont elect a President we elect MPs from all the constituencies.

The headlines are "Trump landslide" but the reality is that more Americans voted for Clinton.

I think that they have a right to feel aggrieved. However the way to deal with this is through legal and constitutional means. Rioting is not going to solve anything.
