You are correct Ray. The part you left out is that today's worker is more productive than at any time in this nations history. Yet wages are really really lagging behind. No longer should a worker show one ounce of loyalty to ones employer. Be ready to walk away for more money and always be looking. 2 days notice is plenty sufficient. That's what employers should expect and deserve.

Since you never talk about your "country" it's likely some socialist shithole where the government confiscates most of your wealth. And whatever country this is, I'm willing to bet nobody is pounding down the doors to get into it like they are in the United States. If you hate the United States, don't ever come to the United States. For every one that feels the way you do, a million others would gladly come here if they could.

Yes, Americans are obsessed with wealth. Is that necessarily a bad thing? Money motivates people into doing great things. It's a reward system that's used in all of humanity. You get up and go to work every morning. Why? Because you'd rather be at work than sitting home getting a sun tan in your backyard? Of course not. You work for the reward of a salary. What motivated people to creating all those products in your store, personal satisfaction? No, greed is what motivated them. And what is greed exactly? Greed is the concept of collecting as much of something as you can.

Born in NZ, live in Australia. Never hidden those facts. Literally dozens of posts on that in the past 16 years. What is your definition of socialist? It appears any help from the govt is your version? Want NO help from the govt? Great, don't drive on roads. Don't use a public hospital. Don't walk on federal land. Create and use your own power grid. Create and use your own sewer system. All these things started out with govt help.

Been to the US. Don't HATE the US. Lotsa good people in the US. However, when you spend all your life getting programmes, media etc from the US telling the whole world how great they are, and how all other countries suck, and then you delve deep into its political system and see how shit it is, well, maybe you neocon whackadoodles shouldn't crow so much. You righties are just a bunch of arrogant twats. Like you had anything to do with making the US great.

Yes, being obsessed with wealth is absolutely a bad thing because it leaves little room for anything else. If everybody was obsessed with wealth, there would be no cures for health issues, there would be no great inventions. It would be a race to the bottom of the cliff. You automatically think that people like me hate money and wealth. I love money and wealth. The issue I have is that in the US it is all consuming. Like the richest guy in the room just has to be the best person in the world, right? They have entitlement beyond all others, right?

Exactly, greed is collecting as much of something as you can - like that's a good thing....

I do. Things around here are just fine. People are working. The only places that complain are those who don't pay a good wage. I hope they continue to struggle to find workers. Either pay up or shut up as they say.
Oh they'll pay up alright... More like pay up cheap to the Mexican labor for whom they are setting up again in the labor forces. All the while hoping that the American labor gets on drug's, stays in their moms basement's playing shoot'em up video games, and wanting to join Antifa when all is lost. Sad but true, and with COVID-19 the demise is being sped up exponentially.

Initforme is living in the 1970's. What he doesn't realize is that today, automation is the greatest threat to blue collar workers, even more so than outsourcing or companies moving out of the country.

When labor becomes more expensive than automation investments, that's when employers make those investments. Yes, it is expensive, but the employer considers all the costs associated with workers that many ignore; costs like unemployment insurance coverage, workman's compensation coverage from what I understand is an arm and a leg, matching employees SS and Medicare contributions, medical coverage, paying people when they are not working like vacation time and holidays, even sick time which is kind of rare today.

Machines work 24/7. They don't take breaks, lunch, or go home early. Machines don't complain, don't demand raises, take holidays off or vacations, don't have to pay them overtime when things get busy.

Machines need maintenance and repairs, but that's all figured in by the employer when they make their decision.

The more labor pushes for more money, the more attractive automation investments become.

What it's all going to do, is basically lead to a government take over of the various economy's, and over the manufacturing industries etc. Otherwise if the private sector becomes the enemy of American labor forces, and it chooses to weaken our foundational strength in human resources available, then the government will see it as imperative that it take control of the situation in order to keep a fair balance of citizen's verses automation in the work place.

Otherwise what do you do with hundreds of thousands before it is there time ?? Share the wealth in some kind of communist way ? Kill off the excess population somehow ? Accept crime and poverty as a norm in the upcoming future ? What ??

Otherwise people had best becareful of what they ask for, because they might just be walking into a government trap at a future date.

Typical leftist lies again. We do not live in a bubble and wealth is not finite. In our country a person can make as much as they want. The leftist lie is the reason some have too little is because others have too much. If that were the case, when I go to the bank for a car loan, they'd say they'd love to give me one, but the rich have all the money. Or if I went to my employer for a raise. He too would say he'd love to give me a raise, but the rich people have all the money. I've never experienced that in my life and never will.

So it's clearly a lie what you and every leftist believe in. If we took all the money from the rich people in our country, it wouldn't help one poor person.

If it wasn't for wealth, then there would be no inventions or health advancements. What's the point of creating new products, services or treatment if you're only going to make as much as a garbage man? That's why greed is a great thing.

Unless we fall to Socialism or Communism, the government is paralyzed from having any control over industry. In a hundred years from today, most everything we get will be mostly made by automation, but it seems stupid to rush it. I don't know what the future holds for people not born yet, but I'm glad I won't be here to see or experience it.

Probably what will usher in socialism 2.0 or Communism 2.0 under a Stalin or the current Chinese emperor style leadership that will be found in the future, and so the future is fastly upon us.

I always compare liberalism to a frog happily swimming around in that pot of water on top of the stove. By the time the Democrats announce we are a Socialist or Communist country, we will have already been for years before and the masses will just accept it.

Gotta get that slow methodical brainwashing done first eh ?? Can't take over something without first brainwashing the sheep in a slow precisely orchestrated methodical way.

AS IT SHOULD BE. If a person is vaxxed they shouldn't worry. The more info comes out though....the vaxxed are no safer for it. And in the long term may even have worse reactions to the variants coming along. But that's their call. If they want to take that chance i got no problem... darwin works both ways. Personally i have the antibodies so it doesn't benefit me and may even be detrimental to take that vaxx. So say some of my docs.

Why would the vaxxed have worse reactions to variants down the road?

You've destroyed what antibodies some of you may have had..and secondly you have put yourself at the mercy of blood clots moreso than you would have normally. That's what the spike protein does. I worry about y'all this coming flu season. I have friends who have taken the vaxx..it was their choice. I am sorta dreading what could happen. We'll see..hopefully it won't be a bad flu season. You're going to be as susceptible to the Delta variant as the unvaxxxed, and it has the potential to be worse for the vaxxed. 'They' Really don't know. They don't know short term effects, long term effects...but so far...they've been wrong more than they've been right.

Desantis needs to spend some time bedside watching a Covid victim struggle for their next and possibly last breath. Maybe then he would take a different approach to virus mitigation.

That’s not gonna happen because DeathSantis is catering to the rube MAGA crowd who don’t give a flying fuck about how many Americans die from COVID!

Which shows how stupid the guy is when he is killing his constituents. He could be the best friend of the Democrats.

But nobody is caring about "cases". Over 85,000 NASCAR fans showed up for the race this past Saturday night and about 13 people were wearing masks. Go check the pics......... :abgg2q.jpg:

Only the Covid OCD's are still obsessed with "cases". Its a problem.

Look we all know progressive males arent exactly the embodiment of courage. Conservative males understand that for a long, long time. So can you really be surprised with the Covid obsession amongst the DUMS? Im not......these are the same fems that show up at anti-fa rallies dressed head to toe in military attire and routinely get their clocks cleaned when things go violent. We have a problem in this country and its not Covid.:eusa_dance:
