It would be disastrous to set a precedent that local election officials are allowed to mass-disenfrachise voters whenever they feel like it. Such a precedent would lead to Republican officials across the nation trashing every Democratic vote they could find.

Maybe, we need a constitutional amendment that calls for independent recounts on every election and state secretaries of state who are running for office should be disallowed from any connection.
