Lately it seems that lefties prefer 18th and 19th century selected snippets of political activity to illustrate alleged republican hypocrisy concerning slavery but the 20th century was dominated by a bigoted democrat agenda. FDR appointed KKK activist Hugo Black to the Supreme Court and he was quickly confirmed by the democrat majority. Justice Black repaid the FDR administration with the majority opinion that justified the incarceration of innocent American citizens without due process on the basis of their ethnicity. Justice Black went on to create the modern version of "separation of Church and State" that did not exist in the Constitution in the late 40's. Democrats expanded the fraudulent concept in ensuing decades to the point where Christmas celebrations on public property would be outlawed.
