FBI’s lead witness against Julian Assange arrested as criminal “sociopath” in Iceland

The Assange story needs updating.

Most of us know of the withdrawal of phony rape charges against Assange in Sweden, of the continuing fury of many liberals who hate him because he published Hillary emails in 2016. We remember Trump saying “I love WikiLeaks” — before his hatchetman Pompeo viciously prosecuted Assange, before the CIA considered kidnapping or murdering him in London.

Now it turns out that the last legal element of the U.S. case against Julian Assange has fallen to pieces, as its star witness is imprisoned in Iceland as a dangerous “sociopath.”

Here are two recent articles on this new development, which will probably not be covered on your favorite news channel …

FBI’s Julian Assange Witness Arrested After ‘Crime Spree’

An Icelandic man who played a major role in the FBI’s case against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been arrested in Iceland after authorities say he embarked on a brazen crime spree. Assange supporters say the arrest of Sigurdur Thordarson, reported by the Icelandic newspaper Stundin, deals yet another blow to his credibility after he gave an interview over the summer saying he had lied in his testimony about Assange to U.S. federal investigators. Thordarson, a convicted criminal with a long rap sheet that includes convictions for sexual abuse of minors, was sent back to the country’s highest security prison on Sept. 24, according to Stundin.

Sources cited in the report say authorities made the decision to throw him back behind bars after he racked up several new allegations of financial fraud, including one in which he allegedly forged his lawyer’s signature to inflate assets. Deemed a “sociopath” in a court-ordered psychological evaluation, Thordarson is a former WikiLeaks volunteer who said he became a paid informant for the FBI within the group.

Key witness in FBI case against Assange held in custody to stop his ‘crime spree’ in Iceland

A man whose testimony the FBI uses to justify extraditing Julian Assange from Britain has reportedly been arrested in Iceland after police requested his detention to halt his ongoing crime spree, local media reports….

The imprisonment of Assange in London must come to an end. Whatever you think about this man, he has more than paid for any “political mistakes” he made. He is a “political prisoner” in almost every sense of the word.

FREE JULIAN ASSANGE !
THANK YOU for posting this.

Assange has been the victim of a brazen multi-year witch hunt.

What is “like” the Trump cult?
Who is in this cult?
Do you think I am uncritical of Assange?

Most everyone who supports freedom for Assange today is aware of his personal / political weaknesses, disagrees with this or that statement or action of his.

Amnesty International wants all charges against him dropped.
Are they part of Julian Assange’s “cult” too?

Fuck Julian Assange. He’s a wanted child molester. I could give a rats ass what his views are the n anything. He didn’t hide out on an embassy for months because of his views, and the embassy didn’t kick his ass out because of his views either.

As “The Hill” video explained (comment #24) — which you obviously misunderstood — the convicted child molester is the witness the FBI used to lie about Julian Assange.

The liberal and mainstream corporate press (including Fox News) has not even mentioned either the arrest or retraction of testimony of this key witness.

The United States assured the British court that if Assange is extradited and sentenced to the United States, he will be able to request a transfer to an Australian prison and serve time there.
But this is only if Assange is not hanged in a CIA cell before any sentences. The US did not tell the British court about this.

Julian Assange's father:
"If you say something, the United States will kidnap you anywhere, and other countries will be honored to organize the abduction of journalists under the pretext of extradition for an imaginary violation."

Today a British judge decided to support the extradition of Australian citizen and WikiLeaks journalist / publisher / founder Julian Assange to the U.S. for trial on espionage charges. This takes place on the very day the U.S. is holding its so-called video “democracy conference.” The following organizations have called for the Biden Administration to drop the earlier Trump Administration - initiated prosecution and extradition request against Assange, an Australian citizen who helped expose war crimes and secret diplomatic cables embarrassing to the U.S.

Letter Urging DOJ to Drop Charges Against Julian Assange

Australian citizen Julian Assange has suffered and been persecuted by the long arm of THREE U.S. administrations — Obama’s, Trump’s and Biden’s.

Most vicious was Assange’s persecution under Trump’s Presidency, when Mike Pompeo was running the CIA. Of course when Trump was running for office and Assange published some of Hillary’s emails in 2016, Trump said “I love WikiLeaks!”

Here is an update about new developments that may lead to Assange’s freedom. I’m not holding my breathe, but with a little luck Julian Assange may finally be released from his outrageous imprisonment in England, and allowed to return to his native Australia:

THE UNITED STATES is considering a plea deal that would allow WikiLeaks founder and whistleblower Julian Assange to return to Australia, the Sydney Morning Herald reported Monday….

“There is a way to resolve it,” [U.S. Ambassador to Australia] Kennedy said on Assange’s detention, adding that a plea deal would be “up to the Justice Department.” …

Assange’s case has raised major press freedom concerns around the globe. “The United States is applying extra-territorial reach by charging Assange, who is not a US citizen and did not commit alleged crimes in the US, under its Espionage Act,” a group of former Australian attorneys general wrote to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese last week. “We believe that this sets a very dangerous precedent and has the potential to put at risk anyone, anywhere in the world, who publishes information that the US unilaterally deems to be classified for security reasons.” …

The ambassador’s latest comments have renewed hope from Assange’s family for a solution to the 13-year-long limbo he has faced.
