Fauci recommends COVID-19 treatment DeSantis was slammed for promoting

Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed on Tuesday that an antibody treatment previously championed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis can reduce the risk of COVID-19 hospitalization or death by 70% to 85%.

The director for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases showcased three different monoclonal antibodies during a White House press briefing that when injected into a person target the spike protein of COVID-19. Fauci explained that the treatments could lessen infection symptoms and prevent hospitalization.

Fauci is not the first person to recommend the antibodies, as DeSantis endorsed the same treatments in early August. An investigation from the Associated Press questioned the financial ties between DeSantis's top donor and the company producing the antibodies, casting doubt on the governor's motivations for promoting the treatments.

DeSantis sent a letter to the Associated Press after the report was published, criticizing the outlet for implying that his support for the treatment was politically driven.

"You succeeded in publishing a misleading, clickbait headline about one of your political opponents, but at the expense of deterring individuals infected with COVID from seeking life-saving treatment, which will cost lives," the governor's letter said. "Was it worth it?"

The left are such dangerous fools. Really are.

Please provide "credible" proof that Dr. Fauci EVER said that monoclonal antibodies didn't work or were not a credible treatment for COVID-19. Dr. Fauci has always spoken favorably of monoclonal antibodies for treating COVID-19 - especially when used in the early stages.

BTW, when did DeSantis first start embracing and touting monoclonal antibodies? Before or after he started helping his top donor?

If you ever needed a reason to love and support DeSantis, look who hates him.

I got a question for you Lesh, who is more evil, Trump or DeSantis?

Do you have any evidence that Dr. Fauci had previously not endorsed this treatment. You’re implying that Dr. Fauci has changed his opinion of monoclonal antibodies that were previously endorsed by Ron DeSantis.

It wasn’t Dr. Fauci who questioned DeSantis motives in promoting the drug, it was the associated press. Unless you have some sort of prior statement or publication by Dr. Fauci slamming DeSantis or his promotion of monoclonal antibodies, the whole premise of this thread it is a complete and total lie.

Dr. Fauci has never flip-flopped on monoclonal antibodies nor has he ever criticized them to my knowledge. Why are you trying to gin up hatred against Dr. Fauci? I guess because everything Fauci said and warned you about with Donald Trump has come to pass and you don’t want to face it.

Ron DeSantis should not be promoting any drug since he is neither a doctor nor public health official. Period. End of story.

it’s nice to see the Xiden admin coming around to following the science. Glad DeSantis was leading the charge here for all americans. His leadership willl be a breath of fresh air in Washington

Flip floppy Fauci if nothing else is consistent. He has reversed himself on literally EVERY SINGLE ISSUE related to Covid. He should also be removed from his position due to his conflict of interest with funding the Wuhan Virology Lab. That NIH funded research modified the virus so it could jump to humans.
NIH not only turned a blind eye to Fauci (as head of NIH’s NIIAD) but began a new requirement for all research data, but only data regarding COVID-19 and the SARS CoV-2 virus, be screened PRIOR to pre-print! This prevented data from being peer reviewed, including anything that didn’t and doesn’t go along with their findings and their political statements and agenda. This wouldn’t happen in a country where the government doesn’t control the national message fully and attempting to block information.

badger2 He also signed off on the NIH funding for creating Covid-19 in the Wuhan lab. But of course the Democrats have circled the wagons around him. I just read the latest smoke and mirrors story is that it started with a snake bite. LOL What is that like the 8th bullshit deflection story they've come up with?
LOL .....

Snakes don't carry man made viruses.

We are going to see a ton of articles and snipets on TV about how insane Fauci is for recommending this treatment.

ISNT THAT CORRECT? :auiqs.jpg:

At least WHO has stepped it up a little with creating a new department that will handle strictly origins of viruses. They are not abiding by the US “undetermined origin” stance- that it could be animal sourced or lab origin, and have emphasized that the lab question was never fully investigated.

Some reports state there were no live animals being sold in the Wuhan market, but then other reports that say yes, there were many live mammals being sold. A coverup some where there. I guess I would have to live over there to know the truth about which source is valid. Does anybody have any close relatives living over there in Wuhan ,China I can ask ? Lol… I had to ask.

Looks like I should give WHO more credit than I have in the past, while maintaining my constant criticism of CDC lol
