and the Chinese are starting to feel the international pressure rising.
but i doubt their self-confidence took a hit.
nor that the Moscovian generals' love for their Chinese idealogical brothers (via Marxism and economic and military cooperation today and in the mid-term future) has taken any hits yet.

Afghanistan's Taliban government is to sign a contract with a Chinese firm to drill for oil in the country's north.
It would be first major energy extraction agreement with a foreign firm since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021.
The 25-year deal underscores China's economic involvement in the region.
On Thursday Taliban officials said security forces had targeted Islamic State group militants who attacked a hotel used by Chinese businessmen.
Eight IS militants were killed and several more arrested, the Taliban said.
December's attack on the Longan Hotel in Kabul saw at least three people killed and 18 more injured, including five Chinese citizens.

The oil extraction agreement would see Xinjiang Central Asia Petroleum and Gas Company (CAPEIC) drilling for oil in the Amu Darya basin, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said.
"The Amu Darya oil contract is an important project between China and Afghanistan," China's ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yu told a news conference in the capital Kabul.
A Chinese state-owned company is also in talks over the operation of a copper mine in the east of the country.

Afghanistan is estimated to be sitting on natural resources - including natural gas, copper and rare earths - worth more than $1tn.
However, much of those reserves remain untapped due to decades of turmoil in the country.
Beijing has not formally recognised Afghanistan's Taliban administration but it has significant interests in the country, which is at the centre of a region important to China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Launched by Xi Jinping in 2013, the BRI provides financing for emerging countries to build infrastructure like ports, roads and bridges.

some of the dire questions that need to be asked at this point :

(1) will the Taliban try a takeover of Islamic moderate Pakistan?
(2) will the heros of the formerly western-allied[2a] moderate government of Pakistan be strong enough to withstand the Taliban, given how China is now feeding real money into the Afghan Taliban government, who will no doubt spend it on all sorts of weapons, among which no doubt also weapons that can also be used inside of Pakistan..?
(3) how will China curtail the ambitions of the Taliban in Afghanistan, yet keep that oil coming at the same time?
(4) how will the Taliban respond to the suffering of the Uighurs (done by China)?
(5) how will the (Middle-)Eastern alliance handle it's internal factional diplomacy (Taliban, Iran, Venezuala, South-Africa, China, Russia).

Ukraine has shown Russia's biggest / only real threat is theor nukes and the psycho who has threatened to use them.

Ukraine, with light to modetate weapons and drones supplied by other nations, has managed to hold off, in some cases to beat back, and even to strike inside Russia. They have held off Russians, Chechens, and a host of mercenariesthrown at them.

If tbe might of NATO was thrown behind Ukraie (not saying it should) the only thing that would save Russia, again, is tbe madman and his nukes.

I think China knows in a conventional war it would own Russia right now. Hell, right now China would give the US a serious run for its money.

I think the American military is better trained, has the most advanced weapons, and the best tactics in using those weapons. I think the Russian military is a bad joke with 90% of their nukes dead in their silos Putting a price tag on equipment carried by grunts America is a big winner. All we have to worry about is treasonous fucks like biden that has shown just how treasonous and stupid he can be.

Let Taiwan go and avoid all of the killing. While you're at it you can get let go the Luhansk and Donetsk Peoples Republics and end the war that is already under way. It's the imperialst US that wants both Taiwan and the Donbas. The Russians, Ukrainians, and Chinese have othing to do with it.
