All States are not the same. Governors know their states. Trump got the Federal government up to speed after being behind because the CDC testing capacity was way too low for COVID. Now after Trump and Pence have the testing and medical supplies' logistical issues resolved is the time to start saving the economy.
So whine at the governors, not Trump for restarting the US economy.

Of course he does. He often pulls bullshit straight out of his keister. But When you've been smelling your own brand for so long, your senses become permanently dulled. Spouting bullshit becomes second nature.

Sorry, his response to the virus is his legacy...and he can squawk all he wants about opening things back up. It's up to the governors and local leaders to do that.
Trump doesn't really have a say, beyond his bloviating. The red state governors who are loyal to him will open it back up...but if these states have virus flare up after
that happens, the blowback on those that Ok'd it will be like a hurricane.

The medical supply issues are not solved. I can tell you without a doubt from first hand experience.

This reminds me of when you claimed the testing issue was resolved. It’s nice to hope but the reality on the ground is far different.

I think Trump just wants to avoid accountability. He hasn’t been leading on this issue at any point in time.
