GMO'S are gene splicing in a petri dish in a laboratory to totally change the product.......to withstand the chemicals and survive the application of the use of RoundUP AND to not replicate itself (make viable seeds for future propagation).

This GMO shit is beyond retarded. Humans have been altering the genes of plants and animals for 10,000 years. Fear and hatred of science is irrational and destructive.

That is not true. Humans have been producing hybrids by cross breeding those animals/plants to get a better product. GMO'S are gene splicing in a petri dish in a laboratory to totally change the product.......to withstand the chemicals and survive the application of the use of RoundUP AND to not replicate itself (make viable seeds for future propagation).

Nope, the process is different, but the basic mechanism is the same. Traits desirable are identified and introduced into the genetic code of the target. Selective breeding and plant splicing are simply a more primitive means of altering the genetic structure.

So please tell us all why there hasn't been any long term studies on the effects of GMO's either on rats or humans????? You know, like they do with everything else before being marketed. And by long term I mean 1, 5 & 10 years???? When I was skeptical of all the 'anti-GMO' crowd and started looking into it for myself (5-7 years I think) there had only been 6 months studies of the GMO effects. Unless they have done so since then and proven them safe, IDK.
