Explaining the truth behind " common sense " gun control...and explaining guns to anti gunners....

Gun grabbers don't believe in "common sense" gun control. That's a ruse. It's a palatable term used to convince people to accept more restrictions on our Constitutional right ultimately leading to an outright ban, which is their goal whether they admit it or not.

The real question is why? Who has what to gain? What advantage is gained? Will it reduce crime? No, Will it remove guns out of the hands of criminals, gangs....?,No. So again explain how further erosion in the rights of law abiding citizens accomplishes anything what so ever?
Some day reality will trump progressive liberal nonsense.

But when......they murdered 100 million people and they still didn't have a clue that it was a bad idea.....

Here is one of the latest back door gun banning attempts that is in court right now..."Micro Stamping"....

CPRC at Fox News discussing Microstamping shell casings - Crime Prevention Research Center

according to plaintiffs who want a judge to toss out a state law requiring all new handguns to be equipped with technology that “stamps” each shell casing with a traceable mark. . . .

If new guns can’t be purchased, older ones that are grandfathered in under the microstamping law will cost more, said John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center. That takes square aim at the Second Amendment rights of the poor, he said.

“The problem is the people who need guns the most and benefit the most from owning guns, poor individuals in high crime areas, are priced out of the market,” Lott said. “Who do they think they are disarming as a result of the law? It is minorities in poor crime areas, not some wealthy guy who can afford to purchase the firearms at a higher cost.”

And now the anti gunners will again tell us "no...we don't want to ban guns....we just want common sense gun control.........that bans all guns...." Oh, they always leave off that last part......

You sure do have a lot of animosity for a very small group of people.

I read that article. What a self absorbed wank it was, all the while denying realities too painful to address about magazine size.

Magazine size counts in mass slaughter. It's not really needed anywhere else. I bet I've slaughtered more animals with rifle and shotgun than most, if not all, here. Must be getting up into the thousands.

Never with a mag capacity greater than 5, which meant animals escaped in the reloading pause when the mag emptied.

However, in discussions with keen US shooters the honest ones have said the high US firearms fatalities rate, compared to other developed countries, is a price they are quite prepared to pay to keep the present level of access to firearms.

Here's an attempt to analyse the possible effects of some control measures in historic cases.

Gun Control And Mass Shootings: Would Lives Be Saved?

Gun Control And Mass Shootings Would Lives Be Saved True Cost - Analyzing our economy government policy and society through the lens of cost-benefit

An analysis of every US mass shooting over the past 30 years shows that two small policy changes, restricting high-capacity magazines and introducing stringent background checks, might have saved over 500 injuries and deaths, reducing total casualties in mass shootings by 50%.

And to think that magazine capacity saves lives is stupid.....Santa Barbara....the guy used the legal 10 round magazines legal in California....Sandy Hook...he reloaded several times and still killed 26 people.....Long Island train shooter....in a confined space he reloaded more than once and was only tackled when he actually ran out of ammo.....

What stops mass casualties......getting rid of gun free killing zones...where killers cannot expect unlimited access to defenseless victims......

And background checks.....look....France has absolute bans on 30 round magazines, fully auto rifles, hand grenades, pistols and rocket propelled grenades......they don't have background checks because you can't own any of those items...they don't even have gun stores.....and 3 guys....one guy was a convicted criminal, he and his brother were already on a French government terrorists watch list so even if you had background checks they couldn't get guns legally, they got all those guns...crossing an international border and got the guns in another country, where they aren't even citizens, a country with strict gun laws as well.......and they got all those weapons for 5,000 dollars.....

Dittos the guy in Denmark....who also had an extensive criminal record....

And dittos the 10 masked men in France who shot up a neighborhood with fully auto rifles the week after the attack on those Journalists.......

Background checks and magazine bans are stupid...and do not work.........but they do make it harder for law abiding citizens to own guns........

And again....30 round magazines are necessary for defense against a murderous government.........simple as that......Europe brags about a low murder rate.....but they never include govenrment sponsored murder into their totals....add that historical fact in and their murder rate is higher than ours.....
