I find it odd that he would be that carefree with numbers of lives while suggesting you shut the country down forever until you have a completely approved vaccine. All while lives are at risk and they want to try certain options, even if not fully proven to be effective or even safe as yet.

From what I have heard Birx and Fauci have been pretty clear in telling people don't take these numbers as the gospel there is going to be a lot of changing data and shifting numbers. People should take these numbers the same way poll results should be taken with a grain of salt.

Its a model done by MIT and their medical pandemic team. They indicated that doing nothing and letting this thing run wild would have resulted in 2.2 million dead here in the US. With mitigation the range was 100,000 to 240,000.
